Iranian Defector: U.S. Secretly Helping Iran

by JASmius

It isn't that much of a secret, actually, but maybe it will attract more public and congressional attention to Barack Obama's treasonous perfidy:

An Iranian journalist and top media aide to Iran's President Hassan Rouhani defected while covering the nuclear talks in Switzerland and has accused the United States' team of acting on Iran's behalf in the negotiations.

Amir Hossein Motaghi defected late last week, saying he no longer saw any point in his profession in a country whose government told him what to write, the U.K.'s [London Daily] Telegraph reported.

Motaghi told the London-based Irane Farda, an Iranian opposition television station, that the American team is working to convince the other members of the U.N. Security Council nations and Germany – the P5+1 powers.

"The U.S. negotiating team are mainly there to speak on Iran’s behalf with other members of the P5+1 countries and convince them of a deal," he said. [emphases added]

We can take this as confirmation of our worst suspicions - assuming, of course, that Mr. Motaghi's claims can be trusted.  It's always possible that his defection is a swerve, that he's an intelligence operative, that the Russians, ChiComms, British, French, and Germans aren't going to sign off on this unconditional surrender "deal," and the mullahs, who are going to do as they please with their nukes regardless, are indulging in deliberate public exposure and humiliation of Barack Obama in order to further demolish whatever tattered international credibility the United States had left.  Certainly Moscow and Beijing would have no problems with that outcome, since they're both pro-Iranian as well and are perfectly well aware that these "negotiations" have been a fraud from day one.

Or it could be that Mr. Motaghi is on the level - he's said to be a friend of jailed Iranian-American journalist Jason Rezaian and had been lobbying internally for his release - a genuine Iranian insider who has bailed and is sounding the alarm about U.S.-Iranian collusion.

As I wrote Friday night, there's just an ominous feeling about the Obama Regime's furious push to give the mullahs everything they want and more, like something terrible is going to happen very soon as a result of it, and we are helpless to stop O from selling us and Europe and Israel out and the Iranians from using the nuclear weapons he's effectively gifting them.  It's only the surreality and unfathomability of a president of the United States actually and openly betraying his own country and its allies to our enemy that is keeping us - by which I mean most pointedly, Congress - from fully realizing what is happening and about to happen and at least attempting to do something, anything, to stop it.

Time is running out, in short.  Except that time may have run out on November 6th, 2012, just as I've been saying ever since.  In which case, America's "times of sorrows" may only be just beginning.

UPDATE: We are so screwed:

[L]ast Friday a reporter ran into Kerry at a chocolate shop in Europe where he is bending over backwards to ensure Iran has everything it wants. The reporter asked Kerry if he believed a deal would be reached by the March 31st deadline.

The response? Kerry reportedly said “inshallah.” Which, when translated to English means “Allah willing.”

Should we not dub this "the Obamic bomb"?  Might as well start getting acclimated.
