Jihadists Attack Tunis

by JASmius

One more UTTERLY RANDOM and TOTALLY PEACEFUL attack on COMPLETELY COINCIDENTAL "infidel" tourists POSITIVELY ACCIDENTALLY right next door to the Tunisian parliament building:

Attackers opened fire Wednesday at a major museum in Tunisia’s capital, gunning down seventeen tourists as dozens more sprinted to safety. At least twenty-one people in all were killed, including two gunmen, but some attackers may have escaped, authorities said.

Official warn there could still be two or three gunmen on the loose.

The attack on the famed National Bardo Museum in Tunis was the first on a tourist site in years in Tunisia, a shaky young democracy that has struggled to keep Islamic.... violence at bay.

Prime Minister Habib Essid confirmed at least seventeen victims were international tourists. Several were Italian and from a Costa cruise ship visiting the capital Tunis, and others were from Poland, Spain, Germany as well as Tunisia.

And what JUST HAPPENED to be going on next door at the Tunisian equivalent of the U.S. Capitol?:

The attack comes just one day after the United States Department of Defense announced the approval of a request by Tunisia to purchase eight Black Hawk helicopters for anti-terrorism operations.

The deal, which was originally proposed by the Tunisian authorities back in July of last year, was aimed at bolstering Tunisia’s anti-terrorism efforts and will eventually see up to twelve Black Hawk helicopters sold to Tunisia.

Slaying infidels and sending a message to the apostate Tunisian government at the same time.  The veritable jihadist blue-plate special.

It's got to be galling to Barack Obama that the cradle of his "Jihad Spring" had remained stubbornly democratic and pro-Western.  So don't be surprised if that Black Hawk sale is scotched forthwith.  And at the very least, don't expect a White House statement about this attack.
