Accident? Sabotage? The opening salvo of an enemy attack?
Which would leave the question of which enemy was attacking, since the Obama Doctrine has multiplied them so grievously:
Moments ago an explosion at a major power plant in the D.C. area caused a widespread power outage across the district. The White House power went down for ten seconds before emergency power was restored, the State Department power went out during a live press briefing and the DOJ lost power as well.
SMECO power company says they are working on “widescale outages throughout the area.”
Reagan and Dulles airports, as well as the D.C. subway system are reportedly not yet affected. And if this was sabotage or an enemy attack, there would presumably have been simultaneous explosions rather than just the one.
Still, O's presser about this ought to be highly entertaining.
