CNN Anchor Sides with Cop Killers

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Our society's mob-rule mentality, a sickness that has been encouraged by the entertainment industry, rap music's "187 on a cop" culture, and reassured by the riots and absolute disregard for law enforcement from Ferguson to McKinney, is progressing to very dangerous levels.  I get it, we don't want a police state, but the flip side of that coin is a lawless society, and that will destroy us even faster.

Only a virtuous society is capable of achieving a balance.

In Dallas, a gunman sprayed the Dallas Police Department headquarters will bullets, and a standoff ensued until the snipers got involved.  According to officials, there were no injuries, and the suspect conducted his terror on a police station from inside an armored vehicle.  The gunman, according to the negotiators that exchanged words with him, had a beef with police, accusing them of calling him a terrorist, and taking his child away.  Police, after the gunman also voiced a bomb threat, found at least one pipe bomb placed outside the building.

The final standoff occurred at a nearby Jack in the Box parking lot.  SWAT Team Snipers were brought in to resolve the situation.  Reports indicate the gunman is dead.

While reporting on the shooting, CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield called the gunman’s actions “courageous and brave.”
Whitfield was speaking to CNN legal analyst Philip Holloway when she said, “It was very courageous and brave, if not crazy as well, to open fire on the police headquarters, and now you have this scene, this standoff. So you believe these are the hallmarks of more than one person’s involvement.”
She later claimed she misspoke, a favorite excuse for leftist progressives when the truth escapes their lips, and then they want to make it sound like they didn't mean it.

My kids, like all little kids, used to test the boundaries and use lies sometimes to do so.  After their outrageous fib, and when they were called on it, they would say, "Just kidding," as if that would get them out of it.  That sounds like what Whitfield did.  She said her peace, then covered it up.

Ooopsie.

Did she really mean what she said?

An observation of what is going on in our mob-rule society, and the leftist coverage of these events, tells me "absolutely."

By the way, this will be another example the Democrats will try to use to push gun control.

The mentality of gun control advocates is like a person calling for all driver's licenses belonging to good drivers to be revoked because there are drunk drivers on the road.
