Obama Brings His Putter, But No Water, To California Dust Bowl

by JASmius

Barack Obama just happens to select the one Saturday when Constitution Radio is preempted on KMET-1490 AM (We did, despite illegal FCC Net Neutrality, manage to stream in bootleg fashion on the Internet) to play the two hundredth-plus round of golf of his presidency (a record, and his secondary legacy) in Palm Springs, New Tatooine.  Coincidence?  I think not:

Barack Obama played golf near the desert city of Palm Springs, California, Saturday, shrugging off criticism that ambling around thirsty, lush greens was unseemly during a historic drought.

No, Barack Obama does not "shrug off" criticism.  But when it comes from people who can't touch him power-wise, he literally does not hear them, as would be the case from thirty thousand feet,  Call it "royal deafness".

Obama is slated to play two courses at the weekend, Sunnylands and Porcupine Creek, a father's day weekend escape from Washington and from the ardors of his grinding presidential schedule.

<eyeroll>  Dry your eyes, Barry,

First Lady Michelle Obama and the couple's two daughters are in Europe.

Of course they are,  Praying, perhaps....?

I am, however, going to go even farther out on the proverbial limb and assert that the odds are inordinately low that President Woods had delta smelt and chips for lunch:

But Palm Springs is also at the epicenter of a water shortage that has prompted water restrictions not seen in four decades.

Four years of low rainfall and reduced snow melt in California have led to curbs on the use of water for agriculture and steep surcharges for overusers....

AND federal and State environmental extremism that has elevated inedible fish above human beings and sends seventy percent of what fresh water California does receive straight into the Pacific Ocean, whose waters in turn are banned from desalination.

According to White House spokesman Eric Schultz, the pair discussed "federal, state, and local efforts to deal with the devastating drought and wildfires."

Earlier, Schultz insisted that "this administration's commitment to helping those affected by the drought is second to none," while saying that "many (golf) courses have taken water mitigation steps aimed at water conservation."

By the anthropogenic drought "the administration" caused, which the State's natural drought cycle has exacerbated, which O's royal playboyism publicizes because his total power insulates him from having to give a damn about it,

I'm telling you, the White House knew we were being bumped for Angels baseball today.  Curse you, NSA!

Exit question: When his tee shot lands in a bunker, as it does on every other hole, can O lift his magic putter and part the sand?
