Judge Hanen Orders Obama Regime To Show Him How Impotent He Is To Stop Obamnesty

by JASmius

141 days ago, U.S. District Judge Andrew Hanen issued an injunction ordering the Obama Regime to cease and desist from its illegal, unlawful, unconstitutional amnesty scheme.  133 days ago the Obama Regime, as anybody could have predicted at the time (and I, of course, did), announced that it was moving full-speed ahead with Obamnesty anyway.  110 days ago Judge Hanen, not taking White House defiance sitting down (figuratively speaking), threatened sanctions he couldn't enforce against the Obama Regime for its ignoring his injunction.

Today Judge Hanen set the Regime's day in the proverbial woodshed:

The Court was first apprised by the Government of the violations of its injunction on May 7th, 2015. It admitted that it violated this Court’s injunction on at least two thousand occasions — violations which have not yet been fixed. [emphasis added]

And never will be.

This Court has expressed its willingness to believe that these actions were accidental and not done purposefully to violate this Court’s order.

I'm hoping that's a pro forma thing he had to say in his position as a federal judge rather than that he actually was that gullible.

Nevertheless, it is shocked and surprised at the cavalier attitude the Government has taken with regard to its “efforts” to rectify this situation.

That's not an encouraging admission.

The Government promised this Court on May 7th, 2015, that “immediate steps” were being taken to remedy the violations of the injunction. Yet, as of June 23rd, 2015 — some six weeks after making that representation—the situation had not been rectified.

And you're surprised by this?  Please tell me you're not.

With that in mind, the Court hereby sets a hearing for August 19th, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. Each individual Defendant must attend and be prepared to show why he or she should not be held in contempt of Court.

You mean like Eric "The Red" Holder was once held in contempt of Congress?  Does anybody else remember that?  How many were ever aware of it?

In addition to the individual Defendants, the Government shall bring all relevant witnesses on this topic as the Court will not continue this matter to a later date.

Good, they can all tell their lies at the same time and get them out of the way much quicker.

The Government has conceded that it has directly violated this Court’s Order in its May 7th, 2015 Advisory, yet, as of today, two months have passed since the Advisory and it has not re-mediated its own violative behavior.

And they're damned proud of it.

That is unacceptable and, as far as the Government’s attorneys are concerned, completely unprofessional. To be clear, this Court expects the Government to be in full compliance with this Court’s injunction. Complianceas to just those aliens living in the Plaintiff States is not full compliance.

And the defendants don't give one leaf off the fig tree what you think, Judge Hanen.  You, in other words, are the one behind held in contempt, and there is nothing you can to about it or to stop Obamnesty, injunction or no injunction - as has always been the case.

As over-powerful as the SCOTUS made the federal judiciary look in Obergefell v. Hodges and King v. Burwell - cases that illegally went the Left's way - the Obama Regime is making the courts look even more feeble with its open flouting of Judge Hanen's anti-Obamnesty order - which is an attempt to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law.  It serves to underscore once again that the Left will use any means, any branch of government, to advance its extremist Agenda, and destroy anything, anyone, and any branch of government that stands in its way.

I applaud and salute Judge Hanen for his mettle and courage in his brave stand, but he is plainly and simply overmatched in the only commodity that matters in the Age Of The One: power.

But at least that day in court will be entertaining, if only pyrrhicly.
