We are, apparently, to believe that (1) Mrs. Clinton hired a private IT firm that the Arkansas Mafia knew nothing about and (2) did not give them explicit instructions to both wipe the clintonemails.com server AND PERFORM NO BACKUPS OF IT beforehand. I find that unimaginable even if the Empress is completely computer illiterate. Even if she didn't even know where to turn on a computer, how could she have neglected such Coverup 101 due diligence as to ensure that the emails she had deleted could never be recovered?
- Me, yesterday
We still don't know why the Empress didn't specifically direct PRN to destroy the clintonemails.com server and perform NO BACKUPS of it, but now we know how and why the "little IT firm with the big circle of friends" got the Clintons' business; and it is pretty much what you would have expected:
The way in which [Mrs.] Clinton came to contract a company described as a 'mom and pop' operation remains unclear.
However Daily Mail Online has established a series of connections between the firm and the Democrat Party.
Platte River Networks worked for Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper - once heavily tipped to be [Mrs.] Clinton's 2016 running mate - during his election to be mayor of [Denver] in 2003.
The company's controversial vice president of sales David DeCamillis is also said to be a 'big Democrat' supporter who offered his house to Joe Biden for the party's convention held in Denver in 2008.
Bottom line: PRN had the right connections to get a major piece of business that in non-corrupt circumstances would have been way, way out of their league.
How much so? Prepare yourselves for some serious face-palming:
It will be the small scale of the firm and its own home-made arrangements which will raise the most significant questions over security and over what checks [Mrs.] Clinton's aides made about how suitable it was for dealing with what new transpires to be classified material.
Daily Mail Online spoke to former employees of the firm, including Tera Dadiotis, who was a customer relations consultant between 2007 and 2010.
Describing it as 'a great place to work, but kind of like a mom and pop shop', Tera reacted with disbelief that her former company was hired to manage the email system of Democrat [candidate] Hillary Clinton....
'At the time I worked for them they wouldn't have been equipped to work for Hillary Clinton because I don't think they had the resources, they were based out of a loft, so [it was] not very high security, we didn't even have an alarm.
'I don't know how they run their operation now, but we literally had our server racks in the bathroom. I mean knowing how small Platte River Networks... I don't see how that would be secure [enough for {Mrs.} Clinton].'
Founded in 2002 by entrepreneurs Treve Suazo, Brent Allshouse and Tom Welch, Platte River Networks worked out of a 1,858 square feet loft apartment in downtown Denver up until this earlier year when they moved to a much bigger 12,000 square-foot space. [emphases added]
Security had nothing to do with it. Security wasn't even a consideration. All that mattered to the Ugly Dutchess was that her old server was going to "people we can trust" - which is to say, fellow Democrats. Apparently they weren't aware that they weren't supposed to perform any backups on it after it arrived at their, um, loft.
Assuming it ever arrived there, since the server the FBI seized last week was at a data center in New Jersey. What reason PRN would have had to ship it back east is anybody's guess. Did the Clintons "request" that they do so in order to put it in a setting that would raise fewer questions (than the horde of them that are already buzzing in every which direction) than if they found it in the office toilet, or in the break room under a twenty-four pack of Coors Light? And is that the same clintonemails.com server or a different one? Is Emailgate going to turn into a cyber version of Where's Waldo? Something tells me the Obama DOJ isn't going to be too heavily motivated to hack its way through such a shell game.
But if it makes y'all feel any better, long time Clinton personal shyster David Kendall may be another body that gets heaved under the Ready For Hillary! Express:
“Recent news reports indicate that as Secretary Clinton’s attorney you had a security clearance that was used to possess her official emails. In fact, according to a Washington Post report, the Department of State allegedly instructed you on “appropriate measures for physically securing” her classified emails.[1] However, since that report, the Intelligence Community Inspector General (IC IG) notified the Judiciary Committee that at least two emails on Secretary Clinton’s server were – and are – classified at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level. Importantly, according to the IC IG and Department of State Inspector General, the emails were classified at that level when created,” [Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Charles] Grassley wrote in a letter to Kendall Monday. “In light of that particular classification, which generally requires advanced protocols such as a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) and other similar arrangements to possess and view, it appears the FBI has determined that your clearance is not sufficient to allow you to maintain custody of the emails. Consistent with that determination, the FBI is now in custody of not only the thumb drives previously in your possession that allegedly contain all of Secretary Clinton’s emails, but also Secretary Clinton’s personal server that was used to maintain the top secret emails outside of a government facility.” [emphasis added]
Yep. It's the one that had a tablecloth over it for the Platte River Networks company Independence Day employee barbecue.
I'd recommend to Mr. Kendall that he get himself a lawyer, and quick, but who knows? After serving as the Clintons' lead bloodhound for all these years, he's probably arrogant enough to decide to represent himself. Wait until he finds out that Mrs. Clinton has withdrawn her legal deflector shields to no longer include his part of the "fleet".
But he'll never be turned. Because even here, even now, the example of Vince Foster lingers powerfully on.
UPDATE: A "defiant" Hillary Clinton gets her ass handed to her by Fox News' Ed Henry.
Boy, I can't wait for four years of daily Rodham White House pressers, can you?
