Good morning, Governor.
What's that....what do you mean, that isn't Governor Daugaard? It looks just like....really? That's Bruce Jenner again? Naw, look at the....well, I guess the ears are different.
Sorry, Guv. But the mistake is entirely understandable, don't you think?:
South Dakota’s governor vetoed a bill Tuesday that would have made it the first State in the U.S. to approve a law requiring transgender students to use the bathrooms and locker rooms that match their sex at birth.
In other words, their immutable, genetically-encoded gender, that trait not being "psychological" in nature.
South Dakota would have been the first State to take such a step. But Republican Governor Dennis Daugaard rejected the bill after the American Civil Liberties Union, the Human Rights Campaign and transgender students and adults called the legislation discriminatory. The ACLU of South Dakota said earlier Tuesday that if the governor signed the bill, the group would have encouraged any student harmed by the new law to file a federal civil rights complaint…
Daugaard vetoed the measure a week after hearing the personal stories of three opponents of the bill who are transgender in what was his first knowing interaction with transgender people. The governor initially offered a positive reaction to the proposal, but said he needed to research the issue and listen to testimony before making a final decision. [emphasis added]
Here's the correct pic of Governor Daugaard, by the way:
Wheeeooow; all the elements are present, aren't they? Claiming to stand for what's right; running away at the first sign of leftwingnut opposition, then mouthing leftwingnut moral equivalency platitudes, forgetting all about the interests and protection of underage girls from sexual predators and perverts and mentally-diseased freaks - "Denise" touched all the bases, didn't he?
And he attempted to hide it all under a filthy veneer of Pontius Pilate-esque "libertarianism":
This bill seeks to impose Statewide standards on “every restroom, locker room, and shower room located in a public elementary or secondary school.
And with damned good reason.
” It removes the ability of local school districts to determine the most appropriate accommodations for their individual students and replaces that flexibility with a State mandate.
That protects underage female students.
If and when these rare situations arise....
Which will get less and less "rare" with each such Daugaardian retreat.
....I believe local school officials are best positioned to address them. Instead of encouraging local solutions, this bill broadly regulates in a manner that invites conflict and litigation, diverting energy and resources from the education of the children of this State.
Sounds like Marshall Pétain's rationalization of Nazism, doesn't it? "If we collaborate with the Godless debauchers and sexual fascists and culture destroyers, if we do not resist their takeover of our children, if we 'lie back and enjoy it,' they will leave us alone" - and leave education untouched? This is appeasement taken to lunatic levels. The "SJWs" are like the Borg....
....and the Terminator....
Their mission is not one of "equality" or parity; it is one of domination and eradication. They do not wish to coexist with Judeo-Christian teachings and values and, if you want to take a more evolutionist bent, the biological reality acknowledgement of which is required for "species" propagation and survival. They want no other "values" but their own, and they will not tolerate any other outcome. They will turn us into them. By any means necessary. And every bit of ground willingly yielded is ground that will never be regained and will be used to hasten their victory and our destruction.
I wonder if Governor Daugaard really believes that this "local control" mule fritter is going to cover his ass on this betrayal. It might have if he were president of the United States - "transgenderism" is nowhere mentioned in the Constitution, so the federal government is not supposed to have any role in such matters. But according to the Amendment X, that leaves them to....the States:
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people. [emphasis added]
The highlighted portion means....local control. Of which State control is a part. And in South Dakota, the legislature, elected by "the people," decided that boys had no business getting naked in girls lockerrooms and vice versa, which was entirely within their prerogative. And rather than sign that bill that he had previously supported, "Denise" Daugaard caved to the Godless debauchers and sexual fascists and culture destroyers, underwent "political gender reassignment," and stood aside as their takeover continues, unabated.
Or, perhaps, he figured that since Antonin Scalia is dead, and Anthony Kennedy is such a "swinger," South Dakota's stand for sanity wouldn't survive the down-striking the SCOTUS has no constitutional authority, but does have all the power, to administer, and saved Olympus the effort.
But at least make them do it, and keep your fingerprints off of the murder, dudette. Nail polish is impossible to launder, after all.
