Or "Border Crisis 2016," if the Obamedia had any intention of covering it, or depicting the one two years ago as anything other than a one-off that Obamnesty has "fixed":
A new report claims 2016 will see an increased amount of [illegal alien] "children"....
....arriving at California's border with Mexico.
According to Southern California Public Radio, almost seventy-thousand "children" — largely from Central America — came to the U.S. in 2014. After a significant drop last year, the number is expected to rise again this summer.
"The numbers are well above this point in 2015 and they're even higher than this point from 2014, which was a significant surge year," Adam Hunter, the director of the Immigration and the States Project at the Pew Charitable Trusts, told the news outlet.
To translate that term less graphically and still lend it desperately needed accuracy, substitute the word "minors" for "children" and the picture snaps back into focus. Only about one in every twenty-five illegal minors in the 2014 invasion was actually a child....
....the rest were adolescents and teenagers, a great many of whom were gang-bangers like those pictured above. But that 4% was endlessly and exclusively played up and sold by the White House as being representative of all the "tykes" whom it would be the height of "racism" and "bigotry" and "cruelty" and "against our 'values'" to turn away. That's why O had to illegally, unlawfully, unconstitutionally, and despotically "intervene" to "fix" our "broken" immigration system (that he himself adamantly - and illegally, unlawfully, and unconstitutionally - refuses to "faithfully execute) because "Congress refused to act". And he's "fixed" it alright - by "fundamentally transforming" the border into an illegal alien expressway.
A description that, just as a useful reminder, doesn't remotely describe Mexico's own southern border with Central America:
The Guardian reported in March that thousands of minors from Central America are being stopped at the Mexican border and sent back. Statistics show that less than 1% of children who enter Mexico from Central America are being granted refugee status.
Last year, according to the report, fifty-two "unaccompanied" "children" were taken in by Mexico. [emphases added]
Or a thousandfold less than was the case under President Dredd.
Looks like more
Exit thought: Maybe if we offered to pay for a southern border fence for Mexico (which would be way shorter than ours), that might make them more amenable to financing TrumpWall....except that the Mexicans don't appear to have any difficulty or lack the necessary will to control and enforce their borders without a wall. Which illustrates that will is a far more important ingredient, just as Trump's endorsement of touchback-amnesty illustrates that he lacks it.
UPDATE: The renowned Guatemalan sense of humor:
The president of Guatemala has offered Donald Trump "cheap labor" to build a wall on the border of the United States and Mexico.
"We have high-quality labor, and we'll gladly build," President Jimmy Morales said in a Facebook Live interview conducted by the New York Times en Espanol, reported the Hill.
"Tell us the dimensions, and we know how to do it," said Morales.
Morales was a popular TV comedian in Guatemala, where he appeared on the show, Moralejas (English translation: Morals) for fifteen years.
He won the presidency of Guatemala in October 2015, after former Guatemalan President Otto Perez Molina was jailed in a corruption scandal, according to the Independent newspaper.
Kind of the Guatemalan Donald Trump, isn't he? So who is infringing on whose Presidential Apprentice gimmick here? Sounds to me like President Morales grabbed it first.
