Today in Baghdad, Iraq, a truck bombing killed 115 people. The deadliest in a year, ISIS reveals through this attack how deadly the group remains, despite recent battlefield losses. The attack is during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, while the streets were busy. In addition to the dead, eleven people have been reported missing, and 187 are currently listed as wounded.
An earlier bombing in the morning just east of Baghdad killed five people, and injured 16.
The bombing that killed 115 people is considered the deadlies bombing in Iraq since July 2015, when a truck bombing in eastern Diyala province killed about the same amount of people.
