Before Donald Trump took the stage, in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania GOP running mate Mike Pence of Indiana spoke to a crowd about having a health care system built on a free market economy and consumer choice. He spoke about Health Care Savings Accounts, and returning Health Care back to the States and kicking the federal government out of process.
"We can't trust Hillary with Health Care any more than we can trust her with classified information."
"This is a movement of the American People."
As always, Pence hit it out of the ball park.
When Trump came on stage he thanked Pence for being a leader.
The plan is right in line with what Trump said about abortion in the final debate: Return it to the States.
For those that question Trump's understanding of the U.S. Constitution, his positions about health care and abortion are exactly in line with the Constitution. The federal government has no expressly enumerated constitutional authority on those issues, and according to the Tenth Amendment, thos issues belong to the States...just as Trump and Pence are saying.
