Bernie Sanders, member of the 1%

The young socialists of America championed Bernie Sanders as their choice in the 2016 Presidential Election.  The young anti-capitalists were attracted by his tolerance for various groups and his hate of the wealth one percent.

Truth is.  Sanders is a hypocrite of the highest degree.

The self-avowed socialist is not tolerant at all, or at least not regarding anyone he believes should be silenced because they dare to disagree with him.  Bernie Sanders recently revealed he believes Christians should not be allowed to hold public office.

It turns out Bernie is also not down for the struggle, because he's not a part of the struggle.  While he says nobody should be able to live the way the wealthy does, he lives the way the wealthy does because he's a one percenter, and he's living the lifestyle of a one percenter gladly.

According to the Independent Journal Review, Senator Bernie Sanders in 2016 made more than $1 million. According to Seven Days, an independent publication in Vermont, most of that million came from book royalties. Sanders received a whopping $795,000 advance for his book, “Our Revolution.” He also received a $63,750 advance for his upcoming book, “Bernie Sanders' Guide to Political Revolution.”

Seven Days further reports he also received $2,521 in royalties for his 1987 folk album, “We Shall Overcome.”

Sanders also drew $5,086 in pension payments from the city of Burlington, Vermont.

All of this is in addition to the $174,000 he makes for being a U.S. senator.

Did Sanders pay his fair share?  After all, isn't that what he has been demanding of the millionaires and billionaires of this country?

Senator Sanders owns three homes, likely for the tax exemptions associated with property ownership. The latest addition is a lakefront house in North Hero, Vermont, bought for $600,000.  I am sure he takes advantage of as many tax breaks he complains the rich use as he can because Sanders' true opinion is, "socialism is for thee, not for me".
