When President Trump said he wanted to take on tax reform, and tax cuts, I was ecstatic. The House bill was not as good as I'd hoped, though. It took two and a half steps forward, and two steps back. Then, the bill went to the U.S. Senate, and the Senate Republicans turned the bill into something the Democrats may be willing to support.
In other words, they screwed it up worse than it was.

While some rates are going down, the killing of a number of deductions are making any drop in tax rates a moot point. The Senate is even going after getting rid of income and property tax deductions.
Why not just go with a flat rate? Drop it all to one tax bracket. The existence of progressive tax brackets are a Marxist concept, anyway.
Has the Republicans bought into the liberal left's argument that the rich need to be slammed with higher taxes?
It is the wealthy who are the job creators, and the product movers. Have you ever been hired by a poor person?
As for the argument that tax cuts add to the national debt, the resulting economic growth nullifies that argument, as it creates more taxpayers and an increase in profit for the corporations who reinvest into their companies to make them grow.
When it comes to the national debt, why is it the liberal left Democrats are always so worried about reducing revenue, when the real problem is too much spending?
Nevermind that about 85% of federal spending is unconstitutional, in the first place.
