Happy Constitution Day! Just Saying!!!

By Malcom McGough

What did Benjamin Franklin say to a Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia when she asked “Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?” With no hesitation whatsoever, he responded, “A republic, if you can keep it.”

The U.S. Constitution has 4,400 words and is the oldest and shortest written Constitution of any major government in the world… And it is the oldest for very good reason: they wrapped up your freedoms within it and gave it the coverage of our Supreme Judge, our Lord and Savior. 231 years ago, today, the Founding Fathers signed this amazing document…and for very good reason it has survived . The writers presented a document that is timeless in its application and relevance. For the first time, it placed the people before the government, but not though before God.

But have we come though, to a point in this country's history where not only the people are secondary to the whims of government, but God is not even in the picture. If we do not fix this very soon, that is, to place God, again, as a cover for every aspect of our lives, we may very well fall into the abyss of history, as have other Republics. We must again place the Lord at the center of our decision-making process, at the head of our families, our Church, and at the head of our Government; for if we do not, we will become the most recent country to lose their constitution. What a sad day that would be for the world, who look to America as a beacon of hope and light.

Saul Alinsky professed in his book, Rule for Radicals, ‘…by any means possible…’. Every waking day we see this philosophy being played out by the left. And again, we are seeing this game plan being used to persecute individuals for political gain. Judge Kavanagh, in being accused by Christine Ford an ultra-Left Progressive Professor from the very left state of California is one such example. Yet HER OWN HISTORY IS LESS THAN ROSY. I would like to see what position the left gives her going forward and or her bank account. Or just maybe her ideology and her love of Saul Alinsky, her love of socialism and her hatred of God, was enough to convince her that the ‘by any means necessary,’ justifies the end’.
