California Single-Payer Bill Dead Before Arrival

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The hard left dark blue communist Democrats of California, who I believe have been stealing California for the most part since Reagan was governor (with a short interruption with George Deukmejian back in the nineties, who passed away in 2018), couldn't even pass their own dream of having communist healthcare in California despite their supermajority in both legislative houses of the Golden State.

Yes, even in California, an uproar of disapproval can stop the rolling boulder of leftist insanity.

The goal was to make private health insurance illegal, essentially gutting California’s already off-balance healthcare system into an unaffordable system that would have likely pushed us into an even larger exodus of people out of the State.

Assemblyman Ash Kalra (D-San Jose) withdrew Assembly Bill 1400, ending the single payer healthcare effort, which, according to the Los Angeles Times was because he did not believe the bill had enough support for passage, despite Democrats commanding a 60-19 margin over Republicans.

The proposal may have, once in place, also led to guaranteed funding for unlimited abortions and sterilizing cross-gender “treatments” at the expense of California taxpayers.

The totalitarian effort would basically have taken away personal choice for healthcare, and how one's tax dollars are spent regarding healthcare issues.  But, remember, it was these very same authoritarians who claimed President Trump was a dictator and fascist.
