God is always working in our lives. Our past is not who we are. Our former selves are not the mighty servants God has planned for us to be. No matter how difficult the storms may be, no matter how much the battles wear us down, we must remember the story of the trip across the Sea of Galilee with the apostles (Mark 4, 35-41). He never promised it would be a smooth ride, He promised us He'd get us to the other side. He has plans we have not considered. His plans are new to us, and wonderful to us, and it turns out that those plans were in His Will all along.
Isaiah 43:18-19 (NKJV)
Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it?
