Earth Entering Global Cold Era

by JASmius

It's sure looking like the science on this issue is (heh) settled:

A scientist and the author of a book that suggests the earth is on its way to a thirty-year cold spell thinks a recent claim of an upcoming mini ice age holds some merit.

Dark Winter author John Casey tells Newsmax TV that Earth is headed for a cold spell, which is what researchers in the United Kingdom concluded in a study led by Valentina Zharkova.

"This is of course in stark contrast to the propaganda we've heard about man-made global warming since 1988 but the Zharkova team's research is very closely matching what we announced back in 2007 in terms of a new global cold era," Casey tells host Joe Pags on Newsmax Prime.

Casey argues that climate change is a natural occurrence based on the sun's cycles.

In other words, Mr. Casey and Miss Zharkova are scientists, not "political scientists" and hysterical frauds.

"What we're saying is strictly follow natural cycles of the sun, which is basically what Dr. Zharkova's team has come up with, looking at it from a different angle," Casey says.

"For example, [for] eighteen years now we've had no global warming, yet that is an impossibility, according to the greenhouse gas theory. Yet, our theories of solar-driven climate research and that of Dr. Zharkova's team, they should be saying, 'the sun is really in charge, and using those models we have been over 90% accurate.'" Science is the search for truth about the natural world around us and the cosmos above.  Scientists make observations, collect data, and form theories to make sense of them.  As additional observations are made and additional data is collected, scientists learn new facts, and they adjust their theories accordingly.  That's the way science has traditionally worked, and how it's supposed to work, because otherwise we are not increasing our body of knowledge, but clinging instead to discredited superstitions.  It's why they call them "discoveries".

The "greenhouse gas theory" of climatology has been discredited.  Debunked.  Exposed as the fraud it is and always was.  Yet greenstremists and their leftwingnut political patrons continue to cling to it and demand that modern Western civilization destroy itself and revert to the Stone Age (except for the leftwingnut party elites, of course) in obeisance to it.

But, perhaps too late, perhaps just in time, scientific fact and truth is getting out, as the dire economic consequences have sunk in.

Not that we're thrilled about the notion of a mini-Ice Age, you understand.  But making large sacrifices to "save the planet" is a lot more palatable if the threat is actually real, and understood to be a force of nature and not a result of our own puny existence.  And the (partial) counter to an ice age - INCREASING greenhouse gases in the atmosphere - wouldn't require such huge sacrifices, and to the extent it did, we'd be much better able to afford them.

But we've lost a lot of precious time, as Mr. Casey said eight months ago:

If Dark Winter is right, that means the nation is busily preparing for the wrong calamity.

"We don't have ten years," Casey warns. "We've squandered during President Obama's administration eight years ... and we didn't have eight years to squander."

The worst of the cooling cycle, Casey predicts, will hit in the late 2020s and the early 2030s.

Food riots will break out, demand for heating oil will spike, and the failure of the corn crop will put the squeeze on ethanol.

He even predicts the United States will ban agricultural exports to feed its own citizens....

"My theory tells you when it will be cold ... and it is the cold that kills." [emphases added]
