Germany Closes Its Borders

by JASmius

To provide some additional perspective, the kind of numbers of Muslims that [German Chancellor Angela] Merkel is talking about taking in are on a par with our own illegal alien problem in the U.S. We absorb a million legal immigrants per year on top of the hundreds of thousands of illegals that pour across the border these days at Barack Obama's engraved invitation, a nationally suicidal policy that is inexorably destabilizing our culture and economy because the sheer magnitude of the influx has overwhelmed our ability to assimilate them all, even if the multi-culties weren't pushing all-out for balkanization instead.

However, the U.S. is, in terms of land area, the third largest nation in the world behind Russia and Canada, with 3,806,000 square miles of territory. Or "elbow room," as the old Schoolhouse Rock jingle used to put it.

Now compare that to Germany: 137,903 square miles - or approximately twenty-seven times less "elbow room" for a Muslim migrant influx fifty percent or more the size of the one that is overrunning our own country.

So, yeah, I imagine Angela Merkel's throwing open the gates to the jihadist hordes will "change her country".

- Me, five days ago.

Authorities in Munich said they were overwhelmed by the influx of refugees streaming into the Bavarian capital, with more than ten thousand arriving on Saturday, and urged other German cities to pull their weight.

Germany has so far taken the lion's share of migrants, admitting 450,000 people this year, with Chancellor Angela Merkel's decision to relax asylum rules for Syrians drawing praise from the refugees, but also sharp criticism from domestic allies and counterparts abroad.

In Munich, where more people were expected to arrive overnight Saturday-Sunday, regional officials have sounded the alarm and urged other states in Germany - seen as the promised land by many of those seeking safe haven in Europe - to do their bit.

"We no longer know what to do with refugees," mayor Dieter Reiter said, amid fears many of the new arrivals would have to spend the night outdoors.

Reiter added that he was "very concerned with the developments" noting that if other areas took in several hundred refugees it would "help to avoid chaos".

"Munich and Bavaria can't overcome this great challenge alone," a spokeswoman for the Bavarian authorities said, adding the city was struggling to find beds for all the additional people.

Germany can't overcome this "great challenge" alone, even in the near term.  And culturally speaking, that "great challenge" is just beginning, as only the non-leftwingnuts in that country seem to want to understand and acknowledge:

But at the same time, thousands took to the streets in eastern Europe to voice their opposition to the influx, their numbers dwarfing those attending a handful of pro-migrant rallies.

"Islam will be the death of Europe" chanted protesters at a rally in Warsaw which was attended by nearly five thousand people and began with prayers identifying many marchers as Roman Catholics.

- Me, yesterday.

Germany, today:

That has got to be one of the quickest about-faces I've ever seen in the realm of politics in any country on the face of the planet, ever.  But it was born of sheer, dire necessity.  A million Muslims pouring into Germany would be like, in terms of land area, twenty-seven million Latin Americans avalanching into America.  And not over thirty years, but most of them in more like thirty days.

And just think, folks: Precisely this is what Angela Merkel was bragging about just five days ago.  This is the mother of all Uhura Protocols - "Be careful what you wish for - you may get it."

Aaaaaand guess what happens now that the Germans have come to their senses?  (1) The Muslim hordes, complete with all the jihadists secreted within them, will be insanely pissed at being baited & switched, which will make the non-jihadists prime jihadist recruits, and all of them are already in Europe; and (2) all those southern and eastern european EU members who were freaking out of the Germans using their territories as this invasion's expressway will now have hundreds of thousands or millions of Muzzies occupying their territories because the latter can't get into Germany, AND they'll have to close their own borders, causing a reverse cascading effect across the EU, which will generate even more jihadist recruits, all of whom are ALSO already in Europe.

And remember something else, ladies and gentlemen: The Muzzies aren't going to stop, closed borders or no closed borders, fences or no fences:

There was one thing on which everyone could agree. Whatever Germany does or doesn’t do with its border, "refugees" will still keep fleeing to Europe. “Everybody is coming,” said Iyad, a Syrian student. “They are coming, coming, coming. My brother will leave Syria in two days.” Iyad’s friend Amal nodded in agreement. “The only people who will stay are those who don’t have any money,” said Amal. [emphasis added]

And why wouldn't they?  This is the golden opportunity Islam has been waiting for: a Western leader almost begging them to overrun most of "the land of the Cross," their weapon, the "Crusaders'" suicidal, culturally obtuse, vainglorious "generosity".

Remember what ISIS boasted seven months ago?:

The ISIS terror group is planning to take over Libya and use it as a gateway to wage war across almost all of southern Europe, the London Telegraph reported.

A document written by an Islamic State (ISIS) operative in Libya says that the group plans to flood Libya with fighters from Iraq and Syria, and have them sail across the Mediterranean Sea pretending to be refugees on human trafficking vessels.

They would then target European cities and try to stage attacks on maritime shipping, according to the Quilliam Foundation, a British anti-radicalization group which said it had seen the document. [emphases added]

What Angela Merkel has done is to essentially remove Libya as the middle-man in this equation.

How many jihadists could ISIS conceal within a million or more "refugees"?  The Germans and their hapless, swindled "satellites" are going to find out - the hard way.
