The threat of Islam is nothing new to the world. Like a virus, Islam seeks to spread, sicken, destroy, and control. The plan is methodical, and the method is often violent - but, not always. Jihad is waged in many ways. Sometimes, through violent terrorism, and sometimes through incremental infection where the sickness remains fairly dormant until it reaches a certain percentage of population in its host country.
The discovery of the New World was partly due to the existence of Islamic caliphates. Muslim strongholds in the Middle East and portions of Africa made travel via a land route to the unique luxuries (like silk) in the Far East impossible, so an unencumbered sea route needed to be discovered. The Portuguese traveled around the southern tip of Africa, but an Italian by the name of Christopher Columbus argued that a trip westward would eventually land sailors on the shores of the Far East as well. Some argued the globe was too big, and the oceanic expanse between Europe and the beaches of Asia was too vast for anyone to survive. Nobody considered that there might be a massive land mass in between. The Italian sailor convinced Spain to fund his venture, and the rest is history.
As the explorers of the New World colonized and expanded their wealth and territories, Islam remained in its barbaric confinement, warring with those who refused to become Muslim, and demanding tributes for anyone who dared to pass near or through their territories.
The New World eventually produced the United States of America. Based on a system of liberty, Christian values, and limited government (while rejecting the establishment of an official religion), the U.S. became the polar opposite of Islam. As the small union of sovereign states in North America developed, and began to send her merchants and Navy into the Mediterranean region, pirates from the Barbary Coast began to seize American vessels, demanding tribute, and often capturing the Americans as slaves, or killing them. The conflict eventually led to the United States fighting its first two international wars, both of them against the Muslim Barbary States of North Africa.
The Barbary Wars were waged under Thomas Jefferson and James Madison. As President of the United States, both men found it necessary to wage war against Islam in order to protect the trade routes, and end the Muslim demand for tribute. Jefferson even owned a Koran so that he could better understand the enemy.
The verse "to the shores of Tripoli" in the Marine Corps hymn comes from the Marine Corps' participation in the Barbary Wars. The term "leatherneck" that Marines are often called emerged because during the Barbary Wars the United States Marines wore leather collars to protect themselves from the blades of Muslim warriors whose aim it was to decapitate the Americans.
While President Obama claims that Islam had a positive impact upon the founding of the United States, he could not be father from the truth. Islam was a continuous irritant, and the early Americans were constantly trying to figure out how to deal with Islam's inhumanity.

Our second President, John Adams, wrote in correspondence to Thomas Jefferson on July 16, 1814 that Mohammed is “a military fanatic who denies that laws were made for him; he arrogates everything to himself by force of arms.”
Like Jefferson, Adams owned a Quran. In his copy, the book contained the following in the preface:
"This book is a long conference of God, the angels, and Mahomet, which that false prophet very grossly invented; sometimes he introduceth God, who speaketh to him, and teacheth him his law, then an angel, among the prophets, and frequently maketh God to speak in the plural. … Thou wilt wonder that such absurdities have infected the best part of the world, and wilt avouch, that the knowledge of what is contained in this book, will render that law contemptible ..."
Here is what John Quincy Adams, the son of John Adams, and sixth President of the United States, wrote about the Islamic prophet Mohammed:
"In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar, the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth. Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle. Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust, by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion. He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy; and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind. THE ESSENCE OF HIS DOCTRINE WAS VIOLENCE AND LUST: TO EXALT THE BRUTAL OVER THE SPIRITUAL PART OF HUMAN NATURE." [emphasis in the original]
John Quincy Adams also described the Quran in one of his essays as follows:
"The precept of the koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force."
In a March 23, 1790, letter to the editor of the Federal Gazette, Ben Franklin wrote:
"Nor can the Plundering of Infidels be in that sacred Book [the Quran] forbidden, since it is well known from it, that God has given the World, and all that it contains, to his faithful Mussulmen, who are to enjoy it of Right as fast as they conquer it."
Thomas Jefferson's Quran was translated by George Sale. Here are some of Sale's comments on the Quran, included by Sale in his introduction:
"It is certainly one of the most convincing proofs that Mohammedism was no other than human invention, that it owed its progress and establishment almost entirely to the sword."
Remember when Barack Obama, after being criticized for hosting Ramadan at the White House, said Thomas Jefferson hosted the first presidential iftaar during Ramadan? Here's what really happened. .
During the Barbary Wars, in 1805, the bey (i.e., monarch) of Tunis threatened war with the United States after the U.S. had been successful in capturing some Tunisian pirate ships. The bey sent an envoy to the United States to negotiate for the return of the ships. This envoy stayed in Washington for six months, during which the month of Ramadan passed.
One of Thomas Jefferson’s many invitations extended to this envoy to meet with him at the White House was during the month of Ramadan. To accommodate the envoy’s religious obligation, Jefferson changed the time of dinner from the usual “half after three” to “precisely at sunset.”
Jefferson was being polite -- not celebrating the first White House iftaar, as has been suggested.
The first Ramadan iftaar was not actually held at the White House until 1996.
In a letter dated June 26, 1822, Jefferson had this to say about Islam in a passage regarding Calvinism:
"Verily I say these are the false shepherds foretold as to enter not by the door into the sheepfold, but to climb up some other way. They are mere usurpers of the Christian name, teaching a counter-religion made up of the deliria of crazy imaginations, as foreign from Christianity as is that of Mahomet."
The article we are drawing from by PJMedia was originally written to challenge the falsehoods presented by an individual named Akbar Ahmed. This following bit from the PJMedia article is very interesting:
"Akbar Ahmed is currently Ibn Khaldoun chair and professor of Islamic studies at American University. Ibn Khaldoun was a 14th century Islamic philosopher and scholar, a man about whom Akbar Ahmed has written. Ibn Khaldoun advocated for violence against non-Muslims as a religious duty, in order to achieve the larger goal of dismantling non-Muslim civilization and imposing an Islamic caliphate.
"Ibn Khaldoun makes it clear that holy war is the duty of every Muslim. From his most famous work, Muqaddimah:
In the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the (Muslim) mission and (the obligation to) convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.
"Akbar Ahmed is [was] an adviser to General Petraeus [and George W. Bush]. One wonders if General Petraeuss has been influenced by the false teachings of this professor."
How is it that our government officials, and the leaders in Europe, are so nuts about Islam? How is it that despite the reality that young male terrorists who represent a majority of the Islamic "migrants" and "refugees" are flooding Europe and the United States with the blessings of these officials? Is it that they truly believe the lies (taqiyya) that they are being fed by their "Muslim advisers"? Perhaps they are trying to be "polite" like Jefferson, to the point that they have ceased to recognize that Islam has declared war on the West and cannot be trusted. Taqiyya allows Muslims to lie and deceive if it advances the cause of Islam, and the gullible socialists, seeing Islam as an enemy of their same enemy (that mutual enemy being those who support limited government and a system rooted in Judeo and Christian values), are quick to make an alliance with them.
The reality is, our leaders are quite literally making a deal with the devil.
In the United States, the U.S. Constitution is the law of the land. Islam is not compatible with the Constitution. Wisely, Ben Carson said the same last year during a "Meet the Press" interview when asked if the United States should ever allow a Muslim President. Carson said, "I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation," and that the Islamic faith is "inconsistent with the Constitution."
In our politically correct society where we have been convinced we have to walk a tight-wire in order to not offend our enemy who wants to kill us and dominate our country with their own sharia law, Carson was attacked by the media, and called an "islamophobe."
The attacks against Carson is evidence that the jihad in America has been effective, and that our own citizens are preparing to bow down to their potential Islamic overlords.
Islam is incompatible with the United States Constitution. Islam is incompatible with the American System. Islam is anti-American and directly hostile to the American System. Bending over backwards for an "ideology" that has declared war against the West is treasonous, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. Islam has infiltrated our government. We have two Muslims in Congress (Ellison of Minnesota and Carson of Indiana), and Islam has infiltrated the FBI, the CIA, and many other parts of government. Allowing this kind of infiltration by people who follow an ideology that is so anti-American is like allowing Nazis into our government during World War II. Meanwhile, we are importing the enemy in the name of compassion, welcoming them into our neighborhoods, and we are giving them benefits paid for by the tax dollars of American Citizens so that these jihadists may lie in wait, until they are ready to commit violent jihad, just as we saw recently in San Bernardino, California. That shooting was all about Islam.
During World War II, the United States prohibited all immigration from Japan, Germany and Italy, not because we were being insensitive or racist, but because we were at war with those countries, and we knew that their agents desired to infiltrate our defenses, and our homeland. Sure, there were some good people from those countries who just wanted to come to America to escape the madness - but we could not tell the good from the bad, so we had to prohibit the immigration of all of them.
Meanwhile, it today's world of "migrants" and "refugees," the Obama administration is doing all it can to allow the Muslim invaders into our country in massive numbers through Hijrah - Jihad by Emigration.
