"Smart Power!" rides again:
Roughly four weeks after Barack Obama's "historic"....
....visit to Cuba, members of the communist Cuban government are calling the visit "a deep attack."
"In this visit, there was a deep attack on our ideas, our history, our culture and our symbols," Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez said this week.
Fox News quoted Rodriguez as saying, "Obama came here to dazzle the non-state sector, as if he wasn't the representative of big corporations but the defender of hot dog vendors, of small businesses in the United States, which he isn't."
Those remarks came just days after Cuban President Raul Castro called the United States "the enemy." [emphases added]
Boy, the Castros sure know how to kick a Marxist fellow-traveler in the Mom Jeans, don't they?
So let's take this opportunity to take a final tally: In The One's grand opening to the CubComms, the Castros received full diplomatic recognition, international legitimacy, effective lifting of the U.S. economic embargo in defiance of U.S. law, the release of all of their spies that were in our custody, and we got....what out of it, exactly? They've released no political prisoners, but have in fact cracked down even harder, they're still collaborating with the Russians in Syria and with them and the ChiComms on hosting listening posts and even military bases (in direct violation of the Monroe Doctrine - which the Obama Regime has long since officially disavowed), and they have not even toned down their hostile ideological warfare against us, which would have cost them nothing.
Looks and sounds to me like O got used like a three-dollar whore on "lay"-away.
I guess the fine Cuban stogies really were his sole reward....
....but what about the rest of us? To say nothing of the still-oppressed Cuban people?
Irrelevancy is ours, I guess.
