Love for your job is an admirable thing. Passion is a rare gem. "Enough already" is annoying.
Favre has decided to unretire, again. And this time he held out so long I was actually beginning to believe he was going to stay retired.
I should have known better. He has been the kind of individual that is incapable of understanding the word, "quit." His persistence, even in the face of impossible odds, is one of the traits that made him a great quarterback. But he has got to realize that his time came, and he was great - now it is over. He should have retired as a Packer and left it at that. I understand the Brett loves the game, but when will he realize that enough is enough?
Brett Favre will not retire until he either suffers a career ending injury, or Geritol becomes an illegal substance and he tests positive for it.
He loves the game too much, and won't stop until he has no choice but to leave the game.
Then again, maybe I can understand staying in there, even when all of the odds are against you, and sticking it out seems foolish to most - after all, I am a Raiders fan.
