Van Jones has quit.
The White House environmental adviser has been under fire for statements he has made in his past that have been considered inflammatory, and anti-American.
Van Jones called the fact that the public was made aware of his communist and black nationalist comments as being a "vicious smear campaign against me."
No advance notice was given regarding Van Jones' resignation, and it definitely does not help Obama's attempt to put out the raging fire of opposition that threatens to continue to kill his footing in the contentious health care debate.
Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said of Van Jones' resignation, "Van Jones decided the agenda of this president was bigger than any one individual."
This is the result of the people finding their voice, and the power the people have when we stand together to protest against those that would topple the American Form of Government. United We Stand, Combined We Kick Butt.
