Dude, WTF, is it really that bad that he wants to respect the traditions of a country that he is visiting? I mean, come on, what's the big deal? Or are you one of the assholes who thinks that America is such a great country that we don't need to respect anyone else and that everyone should be clamoring to make us feel comfortable instead of us showing appreciation for their culture?
the point is not the bow it is how deep the bow, the deeper you bow the more powerful the bow is so bowing like that represents a sincere apology or acceptance of the other persons superiority

Our head of state bowing to the head of state of another country is a sign of subservience - a sign that the U.S. should not portraying.
