First, if a conservative had said this, they'd be labeled as a religious freak, or something along those lines. But, since Michelle Obama said it, we are being told it shows how enlightened she is.
What?
Second, the wording is not consistent with Christianity. There is a biblical reference to unclean spirits, which refer to the demonic world, so I suppose Michelle decided clean spirits is the opposite. Fine. Except the way it was said, having the word clean after spirits, gives the phrase an eerie New Age feel to it. So it begs one to ask, is the Obama family New Age Pagans?
Perhaps it's nothing.
Perhaps.
