Secretary of State John Kerry claims, "We are not going to war!" during his statement to press early Monday morning. Kerry makes it clear that if Assad does not turn over his stores of chemical weapons by the end of the week the US will take decisive military action. Going on to affirm that based on all of his years of experience as a prosecutor he has no doubts as to Bashar al-Assad's responsibility recent chemical attacks in Syria.
So let's see if I've got this straight; we're not going to war, but if Boy Assad doesn't capitulate his chemical arsenal by the end of the week, we're going to war, but so incredibly small that nobody will notice, including, presumably, Boy Assad, who promised yesterday that a single Tomahawk striking Syrian soil will trigger "massive" retaliation with everything he - which is to say, Iran and Russia - has. And he "knows" that Assad launched the August 21st chemical attack in the Damascus suburbs absent anything more than circumstantial heresay evidence (i.e. it suits O's pro-jihadist purposes to blame Assad) based upon his vast prosecutorial experience, which must have included more railroads than Burlington and Great Northern ever dreamed of.
You know, for all the times that I've ridiculed leftwing nostrums with the "Bizarro World" riff, I never really wanted to actually go there. How helpful of Godbama to bring Bizarro World to us.
