Another Obamacare Delay. . . to try to protect Democrat Election

By Douglas V. Gibbs

President Barack Obama, and his partners in cri--, er, uh, politics, in the democrat Party, have acted once again, under Obama's unconstitutional power of modifying law by executive order/action/decree in order to try and save the mid-term election in 2014 for the democrats.  The modification in the Affordable Care Act is a delay, allowing health plans that do not meet ObamaCare’s minimum coverage requirements to continue on - for now.  This will stop massive cancellations which would surely derail many election hopes for the liberal left communists, uh, I mean socialists, uh, I mean Alinsky-ites, uh, I mean Marxists, uh, I mean "democrats."  (talk about synonyms)

Specifically, the hope is to protect the United States Senate, which is under a democrat majority by less than a dozen seats, because if cancellations swept the country due to Obamacare, even the uninformed voters might notice, and not vote for their precious communis--. . . democrats.

The big deal is people don't like to be lied to, no matter they political identity, and Barack Obama said, "If you like your plan, under the Affordable Care Act, you will get to keep it."

Last year, millions of individual plans were canceled because of the health care law.  That caused quite a stir, and allowed Republicans to remind people of Obama's promise, and how it was being broken.  The cancellations being avoided with this new delay would be from the employer market, which would leave the democrats in a huge dilemma, and would alert even more voters that they are being lied to by the democrats.

This delay was already in place, but they didn't delay it enough.  The deadline was beyond the midterm election, but insurers must send out cancellation notices 90 days in advance, which means people would be getting their cancellation notices a little more than a month before the mid-term elections.

Eventually, nobody will be able to keep their plans.  Obamacare is designed to destroy the private market.  Anything less would undercut the whole rationale behind the healthcare reform law.

Under the Affordable Care Act, health plans are required to offer 10 medical benefits that the Obama administration deems essential. These mandates are usually unnecessary for most of the people seeking insurance, adding costs not necessary, and costs that would not be piled on if the federal government followed its constitutional authorities and stayed the heck out of the health care industry.

Obama says the mandates are necessary to protect everybody from the evil, greedy insurance industry that just wants to drive up your costs. . .as he drives up our costs.

"If you like your plan, you can keep it," is also a promise made by many of the democrats up for reelection in November.  Massive cancellations would destroy the hopes of these liberal leftists in their pursuit to maintain their level of power.

With this delay, the unconstitutional modification to the law without even considering congressional participation means that now in a matter of a few years, Obamacare has been amended more times than the more than two hundred year old United States Constitution.  That is what they do.  If they don't like a law, they strike it down, or refuse to enforce it.  If they like a law, but it is misbehaving, they will alter it as often as possible, to avoid people realizing it is the piece of garbage it is.

It's amazing. Obama is unconstitutionally modifying an unconstitutional law, and he calls himself a problem solver - while his illegal actions create even bigger problems.
