The Nigerian girls that were kidnapped by a Muslim faction were Christians. Christians are being slaughtered throughout the Muslim World by Islamic jihadists. Aside from Jews, Christians are the most hated infidel.
In Syria, the rebels that President Obama has been supporting, who are connected to al-Qaeda, have been torturing and slaughtering Christians, as well. Unfortunately, the media has refused to talk about it.
Among the most recent cases, an a town called Maalouli, just north of Syria. two young Christian boys were tortured and crucified by a Muslim mob for refusing to renounce Christianity. One of the young men was crucified in front of his father, who was then also murdered by the Muslim adherents. A few months ago a similar incident took place, but the jihadists used crucifixion to murder the Christians, a favorite method, it seems, by Islamists when it comes to exterminating Christians.
The Catholic Church is also reporting through some of their people still on the ground in Syria that Christians are being subjected to medieval terrors at the hands of local Islamists.
In an area called The Abri, which is an industrial zone just outside of Damascus, Islamist criminals began murdering men, women and children just as they entered the city. Even more disgusting, the murderous group played soccer with the heads of their victims once they were finished.
What the monsters did with the pregnant women and their unborn babies is even more disturbing – they pulled the children from their mothers and hanged the babies from a tree by their umbilical cords.

Are there Muslim moderates? I know of Muslims that claim they are sickened by the actions of the extremists, but the fact is, the religious texts teaches Islamists to be this brutal. In the end, they are simply people without Christ, but how do we reach people that have been indoctrinated with the barbarism of Islam since they day they were born? How do we teach the love of Christ to a society that believes anyone converting from Islam to Christianity should be executed?
It all begins with prayer. We need to pray for those that wish to kill us. We must love our enemies, understanding that they have been deceived, and deserve the Mercy of Christ. However, we must also be vigilant against the violence portrayed by Islamists. We must defend ourselves. We must fight the factions that have taken the barbarity of Islam to the level of terrorism, and demonic heights the above examples reveal.
We must also pray that our political leaders understand what we are up against, and that it is important that we find a way to help the Christians living in the Muslim world. The burden they face everyday is horrific, and it is important that they know we are doing whatever we can to help them.

Well said Doug. Israel is on the front lines of the war on terror, but the Christians are behind enemy lines and suffer greatly. We must pray for them and also stop supporting these countries which persecute Christians with unconstitutional foreign aid. We don't do revenue sharing with our own United States so why are we doling out money abroad?
