Boehner, McConnell Slam Obama-China Climate Deal

by JASmius

Clearly The One had much more in mind than just demeaningly munching on Nicorettes - like demolishing what's left of the world's #2 economy for the benefit of the new #1:

House Speaker John Boehner warned that President Barack Obama was waging a "crusade" against affordable energy after the United States and China reached agreement Wednesday on curbing greenhouse gas emissions.

"This announcement is yet another sign that the president intends to double down on his job-crushing policies no matter how devastating the impact for America's heartland and the country as a whole," Boehner said after Obama and his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping inked a landmark agreement at a summit in Beijing.

"It is the latest example of the president's crusade against affordable, reliable energy that is already hurting jobs and squeezing middle-class families."

Kinda puts Senate Donks' Keystone XL feint in its proper perspective, huh?

Boehner was quickly joined by the Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell, who said he was "particularly distressed" by the deal, which sees the two global powers achieve breakthrough cooperation in the fight against climate change.

Alternate headline: "Red China and Obamerikastan declare war against Sol".

"I read the agreement requires the Chinese to do nothing at all for sixteen years while these carbon emission regulations are creating havoc in my state and other states around the country," McConnell told reporters as he met with newly elected Republican senators.

Of course, Mr. Majority Leader. After all, it's not as though this wasn't a campaign promise he didn't intend to keep....

....and now he can claim that if we don't finish committing economic seppuku, it will "damage" our "new special relationship" with the ChiComms and even risk a "war".  Or, put another way, this is the means by which O really will make "climate change" a "national security" issue.  Or he'll try to, anyway.  Or in still a third version, this apparently is his "pivot to Asia".

By the way, if you're counting on Article II, Section 2, Clause 2 ("[The President] shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur;") to keep this greenstremist stunt from ever seeing the light of day, I hope you've outgrown that garish level of naïveté, because as far as his infernal majesty is concerned, it's already the "law of the land" because he touched his royal scepter to it.  I doubt that he'll bother submitting the agreement to the Republican Senate in general, and Jim Inhofe's Environment & Public Works Committee in particular, for an approval it will never receive.  He'll just order the EPA to implement it, and the Regime's economic "land of make-believe" will accelerate its implosive downward spiral.

I told you this man was going to be unleashed by his party's loss of the Senate, not constrained.

Exit question: Is this what the Sino-Obamerikastani attack on the Sun might look like?

I dunno; seems a smidgeon counterproductive, if you ask me.
