After insulting the Chinese with his gum chewing during an economic summit in Beijing, Obama insulted the American People by striking a Climate Change deal that handcuffs the United States with tyrannical carbon regulations, and leaves China regulation free for another 16 years.
The job crushing regulations in the deal with China was also struck without the advise and consent of the United States Senate, and Obama plans to implement the absurd, and illegal, agreement through the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Rather than call the move unconstitutional like it is, and demand non-compliance in all States due to the unconstitutionality of the executive action, the Republicans in the Senate plan to pass language that would give states the option of not complying with the EPA mandate until litigation on the issue is resolved, or that would bar federal authorities from enforcing the rule. In other words, they are going to pass a resolution or piece of legislation that the executive branch will ignore, and then try to go after Obama through a court system that is complicit with Obama's tyrannical agenda.
Republican Representative Tom Cole from Oklahoma went even further to show the spinelessness of the GOP by exclaiming, "You can issue all the executive orders you want. If you don’t have any money to enforce them, they don’t go very far. We’re going to be pretty aggressive in using the power of the purse."
The Obama minions have already shown how they respond to any Republican monkeying with finances, with their "blame the GOP for everything" game last year when Ted Cruz led the budget fight that led to a government shutdown. Using the courts, and the power of the purse, have proven to be a failure. Don't get me wrong, I believe refusing funding for unconstitutional actions is the way to go, but in the current environment, in addition to such a move, there needs to be an emphasis on the unconstitutionality of the action, and a willingness to stand up to Obama pointing out the illegality of his actions while being more aggressive to pull the States into the fray.
In concert with Congress, the States need to reject the EPA's unconstitutional mandates, and stand together, resisting the unconstitutional ravings of this President. If enough States were to stand with Congress on this issue, the President would be forced to rethink his authoritarianism, and it would set up a nice entrance into the new year when the Republicans have control of both Houses of Congress.
The incredible side-note of all of this is that while Obama was kissing up to the Chinese, making deals with them that is bad for the United States, we were discovering that last September hackers from China breached the federal weather network, forcing cyber-security teams to seal off data vital to disaster planning, aviation, shipping and scores of other crucial uses.
On top of that, the NOAA, when they were hacked, did not report it.
The NOAA has also refused to say whether the attack removed material or inserted malicious software in its system, which is used by civilian and military forecasters in the U.S. and also feeds weather models at the main centers for Europe and Canada.
And if the Chinese have easily hacked into the NOAA’s cyber-system, and we aren't being told about it, what else has been happening regarding Obama's new Chinese buddies?
