As the pre-game show for the Cincinnati-Indianapolis wildcard playoff match-up wound down and the start of the game approached, CBS played a quick segment showing players from the teams saying that it hurts when they lose. The message was that these players were going to play hard to avoid that hurt.
I wonder if the bleeding heart liberal left democrats watching that promo said to themselves, "They hurt? We have to stop the pain! We have to use government to level the playing field and make sure that none of these poor players ever have to feel that kind of pain again!"
Someday in the near future:
"Welcome to the new football season, folks. After last year's rule changes that disallows scores from being kept, tackles from being made, and in fact no contact is allowed at all, in an amazing year, all 32 teams earned Super Bowl rings!"

I think Ray Rice put the kibosh on the sympathy angle.
Although if libs did try something like that, it would become known as "the Seahawk rules".
