Put another way, black America should stop whoring itself to the Democrat Party and make them "earn it":

It was the Democrats who were against Civil Rights legislation. So because President Lyndon B. Johnson was a Democrat, black America assumed the Democrats were for it.
Black folks in America are telling one party, "We don’t give a damn about you." They’re telling the other party "You've got our vote." Therefore, you have labeled yourself ‘disenfranchised’ because one party knows [it's] got you under [its] thumb. The other party knows [it]’ll never get you and [thus] nobody comes to address your interest. [emphasis added]
One more inconvenient truth for the Left to try to get back under cover.
After all the horrifying damage the Democrat Party has done to black Americans over the past half-century, from destroying the black family with welfare impoverishment to wiping out generations of black babies to permanently ignorantizing and embittering black Americans against both their own country, their own culture, and their own best interests, it's about time that black Americans start asking the question not of what the Democrats have done for them lately, but what the Democrats have EVER done for them.
Lotsa luck trying to depict Stephen A. Smith as an "uncle Tom," lefties. Even if he is still an incorrigible Seahawk skeptic.
