Democrats Demand Gowdy Release Blumenthal Transcript

by JASmius

It emerged this morning that yesterday's not-quite-but-almost-"smoking gun" cache of previously undisclosed (by Hillary Clinton) emails helpfully spilled to the House Select Committee on Benghazi were not, in fact, composed by the reptilian Sid Blumenthal but merely passed on to the then-Commissar of State by him from an anti-American ex-CIA spook named Tyler Drumheller, who was serving in Libya as Mrs. Clinton's personal spook, evidently because she suspected that the REAL CIA might choose to do its actual duty instead of her Wiccan bidding.

I was going to write about this story, but then concluded, "Why bother?"  What difference, at this point, does it make if Blumenthal wrote those emails or if he was just relaying them from somebody else?  One more link doesn't change the chain, after all.

But this is most definitely worth writing about, and suggests that the "Whose memos were they anyway?" distraction is just more Clintonoid/media smoke:

Democrats on a House panel investigating the deadly attacks in Benghazi, Libya, called Wednesday for the release of a deposition transcript of a longtime confidant of Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The Democrats said the Republican-led panel should release the transcript of Tuesday's closed-door testimony by Clinton friend Sidney Blumenthal, along with emails he sent to [Mrs.] Clinton while she served as secretary of state.

In a letter to the panel's chairman, Representative Trey Gowdy of South Carolina-4, Democrats said the transcript of Blumenthal's testimony will provide "important background and context to his emails."

Quite the opposite, actually.  This clearly defensive move on the part of minority Dems tells me that there are at least "smoking Derringers" in that email cache that could be at least seriously damaging to the Empress, if not devastating, on top of all we know about Benghazigate so far, coming at a time when her floundering presidential campaign has already had to do one-redo that is already clearly having little or no effect.

Trey Gowdy's committee is finally, in other words, getting a clear radar image of its target....

....and House Democrats want him to release a ton of chaff and flares....

....to throw us all off the trail again.

Don't do it, Mr. Chairman.  It's time to start moving in for the "kill".
