Hillary Could Lose 56% Of Democrat Primary Vote To....Joe Biden?

by JASmius

Is the Democrat base actually this desperate to be rid of Mrs. Clinton?  Theoretically, yes.  Would they even flock to Barack Obama's crazy old uncle in the White House attic?  That's another question entirely:

A July 9th national poll by Monmouth University shows that 56% of Democrat primary voters would be "very" or "somewhat" Likely to "consider supporting [Vice President Joe] Biden for the nomination over your current choice" should he enter the race.

The survey first asked voters for whom they would vote if the primary were held now. Hillary led the field, although she barely eked out a majority [with 51%; Biden picked up 13%]

Then it asked the voters who were not supporting Biden (87% of the sample), "Joe Biden has not yet indicated whether he intends to run. If Biden does get into the race, how likely would you be to consider supporting him for the nomination over your current choice?

12% said they were "very likely" to switch to Slow Joe, while 31% said they were "somewhat likely" to.  I interpret those results as V.P. Rogaine having a realistic ceiling of 25%, not a potential outright majority.  That other 31% could just as easily break Bernie Sanders' way, creating a scenario where nobody got a majority of Donk delegates and the 2016 Democrat National Convention in Philadelphia becomes....brokered.

I can see it now: Since Barack Obama still rules the Democrat Party with an iron fist, he waves his royal putter behind closed doors, and out on stage to accept the presidential nomination on the final night at the Wells Fargo Center walks.....Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, with current HUD Commissar Julian Castro at her side.

The one thing everybody can agree on is that Hillary Clinton will not, nor will she ever receive that honor, if the Nutroots and The One can prevent it.

And if they're even willing to resort to V.P. Hairplugs, anything is possible.
