Planned Parenthood Cannibalism Series Strangely Not Screened @ Obama White House

by JASmius

Care to speculate on what "meat" will be on the barbeque at Martha's Vineyard the next few weeks?  Jake Tapper didn't take the subject quite that far, but he did ask White House spokesjerk Josh Earnest why his boss and minions keep ritualistically denouncing a film franchise none of them has ever actually seen:

Tapper: There’s nothing in these tapes that bothers you or anyone in the White House?

Earnest: Jake, I gotta tell you. These videos were released because of their shock value and there’s no doubt that what’s depicted on these videos is shocking.

The truth oftentimes is, Josh.

I know that based on the news reports I’ve read about the videos. I haven’t actually looked at them. But people who have looked at them have raised significant questions about whether or not these videos are credible.

Because they fear the truth getting out and are trying to discredit it since it can no longer be covered up.

About whether or not they’ve been selectively edited in a way to grossly distort the position and the policies of Planned Parenthood.

A lie that was debunked after the first CMP video.

Tapper: The whole video is put up on the website of this [pro-life] group that put them out. You don’t have to watch just the edited version. You can watch the whole version.

Earnest: I’m relying on news reports that I’ve seen....

Feeding him the propaganda he wanted to hear.

....on people who’ve taken a look at this and raised questions about the videos themselves and there’s no doubt that this is an organization that has targeted Planned Parenthood for some time so they clearly have an ideological ax to grind.

Yeah, kind of like Nuremberg prosecutors had an ax to grind against the Nazis.

What we know to be true is that Planned Parenthood provides regular health care for millions of Americans across the country.

Lie.

And Planned Parenthood is not able to use federal funds to perform abortions.

Lie.

That is written into the rules.

Lie.

That is a rule that this administration has not just followed, but that this administration has supported.

BIG f'ing lie.

So it’s clear that there are some ideological games being played here.

Look who's talking, Josh.

And what this administration and this president has long fought for is protecting access for women for health care.

To kill their unborn babies by the millions, so that they won't have to bet "punished with them".

And that’s exactly why we want to make sure there’s not an ideological effort to defund Planned Parenthood that provides those important health care services to women all across the country.

How about a fiscal effort, then, Josh?  I mean, after all, PP's black market fetal organ and carcass trafficking is apparently so lucrative, they don't really need that half-billion dollars of annual taxpayer boodle, now do they?  You and they couldn't possibly have any ideological reasons for keeping that gravy train on the tracks, now could you?

Tapper: Well, somebody at the White House should maybe watch the videos in full.

No need, Jake.  They know what's in them, they know what Planned Parenthood REALLY does, and they heartily approve of it.  It's as simple as that.

And so, apparently, does half the American public:

Despite recently released videos that....show Planned Parenthood officials talking about [illegally] harvesting and selling the organs of aborted babies, a new Monmouth University poll reveals that most Americans are opposed to cutting off federal funding to the organization.

According to the Monmouth poll, 39% of Americans support cutting off federal funding for Planned Parenthood, but a larger number, 49%, oppose it.

The poll also shows that 37% of Americans have a positive opinion of Planned Parenthood, and 26% have a negative view. But a large number — 34% of those polled — said they had no opinion.

Meanwhile, 28% of respondents said they believed the organization tries to profit off aborted fetuses, while 17% do not believe it and 55% said they did not know what to believe.

Distilled to its essence: "Don't know, don't care".  I don't know how many more CMP videos it would take to challenge either the pagan hostility or the brain-dead apathy, but as big a splash as they've made on the abortion issue, what they may wind up illustrating more than anything else is that American moral culture is well and truly beyond saving.  During World War II, the Western Allies weren't unaware that the Holocaust was going on, but didn't making saving the doomed Jews of Europe any particular priority, either directly or in trying to win the war as quickly as possible.  However, when Allied armies started overrunning Bergen-Belsen, Buchenwald, Dachau, etc. and the world saw the horrors the Nazis had committed, it was appalled and vowed "Never again".

The CMP is exposing a Holocaust that dwarfs anything the Nazis ever did, and a majority of Americans either yawn or rise to the baby-killers' defense.

If anybody in the pro-life movement has any other bright ideas, I'm certainly all ears.  But I think you're going to find that the proverbial cupboard is bare.

UPDATE: In case you were looking forward to the next exciting edition of Republican "Failure Theater," Mitchie The Kid is pre-empting it by waving the white flag here and now.
