The alliance between the Obama Regime and the Muslim Brotherhood, and the Swiss cheese-esque penetration of the former by the latter, has been well-documented on this site. But in the context of this story I want to take you back to a post of mine on this topic from a year ago:
Methinks this is more than just blind multiculturalism and ideological stubbornness:
Representative Michele Bachmann, R-MN6, had a succinct analysis of the Obama administration’s latest diplomatic move and how it appeared to conflict with FBI’s own assessment.
“The president is going exactly in the opposite direction [from] trying to stamp out terrorism,” she told WND upon hearing why Obama administration officials had huddled earlier in the week with representatives from the Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, and the Muslim American Society, or MAS.
According to a statement on CAIR’s website, representatives from the two U.S.-based Islamic groups met with senior government officials on December 22nd, and pledged to work together to counter a decision by the United Arab Emirates, or UAE, on November 15th, to put CAIR and MAS on its list of foreign terrorist groups.
The UAE also outlawed the two organizations and declared CAIR and MAS to be front groups for the terrorist organization the Muslim Brotherhood.
The FBI severed contacts with CAIR in 2009 as “not an appropriate liaison partner” for the bureau because of evidence linking the group and its founders to Hamas, which the U.S. lists as a terrorist organization. Hamas runs Gaza and was founded as an offshoot of the jihadist organization the Muslim Brotherhood, based in Egypt.
“It’s interesting that the administration has parted ways with its own position and is now meeting with a U.S. court designated co-conspirator of terrorist financing,” observed Bachmann. [emphases added]
Let's add this up: Not only did The One's own FBI break contact with CAIR five years ago because they were proven to be a jihadist front group, but even some Muslim countries are doing the same.
Compared to that, the British doing the same thing after an eighteen-month investigation into the glaringly obvious - which oughtn't have been necessary, but I suppose due diligence needed to be served - is almost anti-climactic.
And, expectedly, the Obama Regime had the exact same reflexively "me thinks thou dost protest too much" indignant reaction:
The report, which [British Prime Minister David] Cameron presented to the House of Commons on Thursday, described the Muslim Brotherhood as anti-democratic, openly supportive of terrorism, dedicated to establishing an Islami[c] government — and opposed to the rule of law, individual liberty, and equality.
"Aspects of the Muslim Brotherhood's ideology and activities … run counter to British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, equality and the mutual respect and tolerance of different faiths and beliefs," Cameron said in a statement with the report's release. "The Muslim Brotherhood is not the only movement that promotes values which appear intolerant of equality and freedom of faith and belief."
"Nor is it the only movement or group dedicated in theory to revolutionizing societies and changing existing ways of life," he continued. "But I have made clear this government's determination to reject intolerance, and to counter not just violent Islami[c] [fundamental]ism, but also to tackle those who create the conditions for it to flourish."
"The main findings of the review support the conclusion that membership of, association with, or influence by the Muslim Brotherhood should be considered as a possible indicator of [Isla]m," Cameron said.
Not only are the Brits banning any more of the Brotherhood from entering their country, but those that are already there will be under constant surveillance and subject to arrest and criminal prosecution at the slightest provocation.
The U.K., in short, is finally getting serious about the Clash of Civilizations.
The U.S., on the other hand.....:
The Obama administration quickly condemned the report in a statement to the Investigative Project on Terrorism, saying that the Muslim Brotherhood had a history of nonviolence....
Which is not remotely unusual for a front group for their violent allies. Which is why the argument is extraneous, obfuscatory, and calculatedly obtuse.
....and that opposing the group could lead some members to become radicalized.
Resisting violent jihadism breeds violent jihadists. You have to appreciate such hopelessly convoluted, pretzel-esque "logic".
The "political repression of nonviolent Islami[c] groups has historically contributed to the radicalization of the minority of their members who would consider violence," the administration said. "The de-legitimization of non-violent political groups does not promote stability, and instead advances the very outcomes that such measures are intended to prevent."
See?
Barack Obama has long embraced the Muslim Brotherhood and has defended and promoted Islam in an effort to fight Islamophobia.
And advance the Global Jihad. It is beyond argument. It is demonstrable fact.
My fellow American captives, we do not have a president, we have a caliph.
Exit question: How long until the British deny visas to and otherwise ban from their territory Obama Regime officials on the same grounds as members of the Muslim Brotherhood, since there is no practical or functional difference?
