Marilyn Mosby Blocks Release Of Freddie Gray Autopsy Report

by JASmius

Curioser and curiouser.

If the woman were several centuries older and white, you could almost believe she was Hillary Clinton or something:

Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby plans to seek a protective order blocking the release of Freddie Gray’s autopsy and other “sensitive” documents as she prosecutes the six police officers involved in his arrest.

Mosby discussed that intention in a court filing Monday, in which she also asked the court for more time to respond to defense motions that she and her office be removed from the case and that the case be tried outside of Baltimore.

The move is the latest effort by Mosby’s office to restrict information in the high-profile case. Her office has also sought a gag order, which would prevent those involved in the case from discussing it in public, and broken with tradition by not providing the autopsy report to Baltimore Police.

Looks like Mrs. Mosby should have kept everything relating to her career-making, blockbuster case on her private server with the "erase" button on hot standby.  Because the impression is being powerfully conveyed that her office's investigation and especially the Gray autopsy results are having the racist audacity to not conform to the Mosby "racist police [even though three of the "Baltimore Six" are black] brutality" narrative.  An impression that is being powerfully reinforced by the specter of the same self-righteously angry "social justice" crusader who was calling multiple press conferences daily a month ago, turning her career-making, blockbuster case into a literal press circus, now pirouetting to claim that she doesn’t want to be “baited into litigating this case through the media”.

Certainly not, Mrs. Mosby; not since it's looking like you're going to lose it in the most humiliating fashion imaginable.  Just as I predicted, by the way.

I wouldn't have thought it was possible to overplay a hand that turned out to consist of a pair of threes.  I guess Marilyn Mosby really is an overachiever.

And the counsels for the defense have taken notice:

One of the defense attorneys, Ivan Bates, said in an interview that the effort to get a protective order is a sign that “there is something in that autopsy report that they are trying to hide.”

“Mrs. Mosby is the one who did an announcement discussing what she said the evidence was in a nationally televised speech, and now that it is time to turn over the evidence, to ask for a protective order is beyond disingenuous,” said Bates, who represents Sergeant Alicia White. “It’s as if she wants to do everything to make sure our clients do not get a fair trial.”

A fair trial was never an option, Mr. Bates.  And a kangaroo court star chamber on Cardassia Prime that put Marilyn Mosby in the U.S. Senate next year always was.  And it would have worked....if she hadn't made too many "assumptions" without the power to make them stick anyway.

It'll still be a long, hot summer in "Charm City".  Marilyn Mosby's ass will simply be in the bubbling pot right with everybody elses's.
