Iran Chaos, Forgotten Peacekeepers, Major General Paul Vallely

Major General Paul Vallely, U.S. Army, retired, is our guest tonight on Political Pistachio Radio.
Major General Paul E. Vallely is no stranger to worldwide politics and military operations. He graduated from West Point in 1961. His two combat tours in South Vietnam included positions as infantry company commander, intelligence officer, operations officer, military advisor and aide-de-camp. He has served on US security assistance missions on civilian-military relations to Europe, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia and Central America with in-country experience in Indonesia, Columbia, El Salvador, Panama, Honduras and Guatemala.

He was one of the first nominees for Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations under President Reagan. From 1982-1986, he commanded the 351st Civil Affairs Command that included all Special Forces, Psychological Warfare and Civil Military units in the Western United States and Hawaii. He was the first President of the National Psychological Operations Association. He retired in 1993, at the rank of Major General from his position as Deputy Commanding General, Pacific.

His units participated in worldwide missions in Europe, Africa, Central America, Japan, Solomon Islands, Guam, Belgium, Korea and Thailand. He has served as a consultant to the Commanding General of the Special Operations Command as well as the DOD Anti-Drug and Counter -Terrorist Task Forces. He also designed and developed the Host-Nation Support Program in the Pacific for DOD and the State Department. Most recently, he has in-country security assistance - experience in El Salvador, Columbia and Indonesia in the development of civil-military relations interfacing with senior level military and civilian leadership.

Gen. Vallely is the Chairman of Stand Up America, serves as the Military Committee Chairman for The Center for Security Policy in Washington, D.C., is a supporter of the Jerusalem Summit Organization, is a Fox News military analyst, a conservative talk radio host, a frequent lecturer, his commentary has appeared in World Net Daily and many other publications.

Together with Lt. Gen. Thomas McInerney, Vallely co-authored a book published in 2004, entitled Endgame: The Blueprint for Victory in the War on Terror. Vallely also co-authored a 1980 paper with then PSYOP analyst Michael Aquino entitled From PSYOP to MindWar: The Psychology of Victory.

Can Protesters Topple Islamic Regime in Iran?

Hope for freedom and change in Iran is evident in the mainstream media, and among those protesting around the world against the Mullah's of Iran. Revolution, it is said, is on the rise. The actions of the supporters of Mousavi in Iran is the birth pains of a great revolution that will lead Iran in a secular direction, and away from the iron fisted rule of the Islamic theocratic government.

The thousands of protesters in the streets of Iran are facing an entrenched Islamic government that has no intention of letting go of its power easily. Currently, the repression of the protesters is working. In the end these demonstrations will lose their punch as the days proceed.

Mousavi, who has indicated he is prepared for martyrdom, has become more radical as the protests continue. The Ayatollah ali Khamenei is not worried. He is sending a message to the Iranian people that Ahmadinejad will continue to be president, and the protests mean nothing to him, other than that they are an irritation. If anything, the willingness of the protesters to defy the will of the Supreme Leader will result in them suffering in the long run.

Obama has made sure to not make the U.S. an issue in the Iranian turmoil. But, since he has proclaimed himself as the leader of the world, you would think he'd at least be instrumental in creating a broad coalition of nations condemning the Iranian Government for their treatment of the protesters.

This American president wishes to use a clear, diplomatic strategy, and even if the Islamic Government hangs on to power through violent suppression, Barack Obama will still welcome the Iranian Government to the negotiating table with a big smile, and a submissive bow.

NBA Basketball Star Seeking Custody of Unborn Child

The role of the father, in this day and age, has been downgraded to sperm donor and child support check writer. A woman seeking abortion could care less about a father's right as a parent when she desires to snuff out the life of the child in an abortionist's laboratory of death, but suddenly finds the importance of the father unequaled when it comes time for support - otherwise, he is a dead-beat dad.

A father with a little bit of sense and decency loves and care for his children no different than does the mother, and of course the best scenario for a child is to be parented by a man and a woman, preferably both being the birth parents.

In the case of divorce, or single parenthood, more often than not the mother gets a more than fair shake in court, and the father is often relegated to "that guy that sees his kid occasionally, and writes child support checks." Many of the men deserve that designation, and if they are truly dead-beat dads, or violent individuals, deserves to lose custody of their children. But many of these men are loving parents that want nothing more than to be the best father to their children that they can be.

Maverics star, Dirk Nowitzki, sees himself as a loving father, and one that can be a better parent than the mother of his child. As a result, Nowitzki filed court papers last week to seek sole custody of his unborn child.

The mother of the unborn baby is Crystal Taylor. She is currently an inmate in the Jefferson County Texas jail after being arrested last month for violating her probation and alleged theft. Nowitzki was not aware of Taylor's shady past until after this arrest, and being informed by police of her history. Her lengthy police record includes multiple aliases and a previous relationship with former NFL quarterback Tony Banks.

The pregnancy was not known until after her arrest, and rather than have the child aborted, or raised by a mother that is obviously unfit to fulfill her duties as a mother of the child, Nowitski desires to gain custody of the child now, and after the child is born, to raise the child on his own.

Imagine the implications of the outcome of this case. If he is granted custody of the child while the baby remains unborn, that gives the unborn child the designation of personhood. If the unborn child is a person whose fate of custody can be determined by a court, that would in turn make all unborn babies "people." If unborn children are in fact "people," as would be implied by Nowitzki winning the case, that would make all abortions, in turn, cold blooded murder of viable human beings.

As a pro-life individual, I believe life begins at conception. As an originalist when it comes to the United States Constitution, I believe Roe v. Wade was unconstitutional in the first place. After all, Roe v. Wade overturned a state law, made law from the bench, and enabled the federal government to dictate to people their position regarding the issue of abortion, which is clearly a state issue, and the federal government has no business making law regarding abortion, as a result.

If you think about it, however, the biggest question regarding the abortion issue is when life begins. if the court handles Nowitzki's case of a father taking steps to make sure his baby has his father in his life even before birth, that prescribes that the child has personhood during its time in the womb, which will shake up the abortion issue in ways the baby killers of the Left do not desire.

Nowitzki is due our prayers on this Father's Day, for he is embarking on a fight that may become a turning point in the battle for father's rights in this country where society does its best to eliminate the family unit, and relegate fathers to a minor role, and a child support check signer.

There are millions of children without their fathers on this Father's Day. Fathers are an important part of a child's life, and Nowitzki is a great example that there are fathers out there that desire to be involved dads.

Father's Day 2009 - Journey of Being A Young Dad

My son was born on April Fool's Day, 1985. The fool, however, was me. I was young, immature, and not entirely ready for fatherhood. My battles ranged from college worries to moving out on my own into a studio-apartment in the bug-infested part of town. I constantly battled with God, and rarely listened to the advice of my parents. I was not the best candidate to become a dad.

The career aspirations of becoming a Corporate Lawyer through the great educational opportunities afforded by L.A.'s Occidental College had already been toasted, anyway. Even the hopes, at the very least, to eventually become a stenographer, were distant memories. Instead, I slaved over a big metal sink, and huge front entrance oven, at the local pizza place, barely making enough money to survive, and looking forward to my free meal at work, since it was just about the only time I could afford to eat. I pridefully wanted no help from family, determined to make it on my own, and as a result, I had nothing to offer my girlfriend when she told me she was pregnant.

A baby was the result of my actions, and it wasn't his unborn fault my decision-making was poor. My Christian Faith told me that sex outside of marriage would yield such difficult results, but I failed to heed the warnings, and in the end got what I deserved. True to my feelings of personal responsibility for my actions, I was determined to do what was right, and become the father this child needed me to be. Abortion, or skipping out, never even occurred to me. That would be the coward's way out, and I was no coward. Besides, children are blessings from God, and to snuff out the life of one of God's blessings was out of the question. Doing what was right was the foremost thought in my mind, and no other thought ever received audience.

The best job opportunity, at the time, to take care of my new family, was the United States Military. I enlisted in the United States Navy. The military had already been entertained as a possible idea, though the United States Marine Corps had been my original choice while in high school. I was not unfamiliar with speaking to recruiters, but ultimately I chose the Navy because of the education opportunities provided by the fact that just about any job in the civilian world had its Navy equivalent - after all, each ship is like a floating city, needing its electricians, plumbers, boiler techs, et cetera.

A week after our modest wedding in the backyard of a preacher's house that we looked up in the Yellow Pages, I shipped out to Orlando, Florida for Boot Camp, and Meridian, Mississippi for my schooling. I missed the majority of my wife's pregnancy, but I made sure I was there the day our son was born.

The first contraction came while my wife and I were arguing (something we did a lot of in those days) at a fast-food joint. She knew right away that this was the moment our son had chosen to be born. Our son was on his way, and convenience was not one of his priorities.

Knowing that my wife's family, partially due to the traditional Mexican background, did not approve of me being in the delivery room (men, they were saying, has no business in such a room - that is women's business), we headed instead to my family's house to settle my wife down in a comfy chair and time the time between contractions. It didn't take long for the contractions to quicken their frequency, so off to the local military base we went.

Upon arrival at the military hospital, my wife was fully ready to give birth, and she did, thirty minutes later.

All of my foolish ways and childish things that had clung to my life stubbornly up to that point left me amidst the first cries of my son that night. Upon looking at that innocent little face, I realized that any and all irresponsible activities on my part needed to be shed. As responsible as I had been up to that point, it wasn't good enough. I needed to do more. I needed to ensure that I provided the best environment for this child.

Our first place we called home was in a down-trodden part of San Diego. Cock-roaches infested the entire apartment complex, and crime frequently visited the liquor store next door. The first week in that little cottage-style apartment was dark, cold, and lonely. My wife was still at her parent's for the time being. The landlord had not turned on the electricity and gas, yet. My dishes included a small pan, a fork, and a coffee cup. Once the gas was on, my most common meal at home was oatmeal, unsweetened, and eaten out of the pan with a fork. I didn't mind, however. Humble beginnings are a temporary thing when one desires more, and works hard for improvement.

After four years in that apartment, we bought a home in Riverside County, and have been there ever since.

Understand, that I did not do all of these things for me. I strove, and worked hard, for my children. Each of their births changed my life, and the only appropriate response was to do my best to be the best father I could be. I provided for them, played with them, disciplined them. I was the manager of my son's baseball teams, and cheered my daughter on while she was a part of cheerleading. I encouraged my children when they struggled in school, and congratulated them when they achieved the top grades. I spoke with the school principal, and their teachers, often on my children's behalf. I kissed their boo-boos, and cried with my wife when our son wound up with cancer. Now, my son is twenty-four, cancer-free, married, and a father himself to a rambunctious 19-month old. My daughter is a single mom at eighteen with a beautiful four-month old. Both grandsons have eyes for their grandma, but the oldest has discovered that the best seat in the house is Grandpa's lap.

And now, Father's Day, 2009 has come upon us. My kids have wished me Happy Father's Day, and my son a few days ago gave me a touching card, and a couple small gifts. I have called my dad, and my son, to wish them the same, and they have thanked me in return. But honestly, I would have been fine if my kids hadn't called me. I would be perfectly fine with it if there was no Father's Day, though I appreciate its existence. You see, Father's Day is everyday, for me. Just the fact that my children have grown to be fine young individuals, and the fact that they appreciate the part in their lives I played, is a grand enough Father's Day present to me.

EA Games Fake Protest Stunt

Some Christian Groups did not find EA Game's fake protest stunt funny, or appropriate, and responded strongly as a result. The stunt was used at the E3 Video Game Convention in Los Angeles where outside the arena a crowd of protesters held signs and passed out written material to passers-by protesting the nature of an upcoming game, and its preoccupation with Hell. The expressed outrage over the upcoming action game by EA called Dante's Inferno was staged, along with a fake website, as a marketing ploy to garner some coverage for the game, by EA Games. The response by some Catholic Bloggers was that the stunt was anti-Christian, and an insulting misrepresentation of normal practitioners of the faith. EA has not commented over the response by Christian groups.

Iran: News Goes From Political Unrest to Chaos

Protesters are in the streets of Iran again, and the police are using tear gas. Fox News has reported bombs going off. Some Iranians are saying that revolution has begun in Iran.

Regardless, the nuclear concerns will not go away. Mousavi, as well as Ahmadinejad, supports the Iranian nuclear aspirations.

A virtual media blackout continues, but leaks through information fed out of the country by Iranian citizens is keeping us abreast of what is going on. Iranian government is trying to tamp down on people by shutting down phone access, Internet access. This is what brutal regimes do when challenged. Nonetheless, through programs like Twitter, the information continues to leak out of the country.

3,000 protesters are reported to have chanted "Death to the Dictator." 50-80 protesters have been beaten by police according to witnesses, and Fox News. Tehran police Chief has indicated the police will crack down on any gathering by protesters.

Ultimately, the real question is, what should the United States do, if anything. President Obama has repeatedly stated that the American Government should remain as distant from the situation as possible, so that we may not be seen as meddling. However, the Iranian leadership has still accused America of meddling, despite the Obama position.

Demonstrations are erupting around the world in protest to the Iranian Government.

Liberalism: The Great Deception

I believe in Americans, not Government.

Day by painful day the Democratic Party is transforming America into something the Founding Fathers had no intention of this nation being. What is interesting about it, however, is if you look closely, the secular Liberal Left's attempt to destroy the nation America has been for well over two hundred years, and their intense attempt to discredit Christianity, is not because they believe that religion should be eliminated for its own sake. They desire the removal of Christianity from the public square, not because they wish to eliminate religion, but because they desire to replace it with their own belief system. Liberalism is trying to be like Christianity, though a warped, deceptive version. The leftists are hoping to replace the followers of Christ as the champions of morality in America. The Deception they use as a tool, however, is actually mirroring the deceptive, tyrannical agenda of control used by Islam and Communism.

Morality, doing the right thing, and common consideration have become vital issues in the world of politics. Christians are being chastised for, and are being falsely accused of, trying to impose Biblical values on America, while the accusers impose their warped definitions of morality on society through radical legislation, dominance of the entertainment industry, and the indoctrination of our children in the U.S. Public School System. The Left constantly accuses Christianity of desiring a theocracy in America, when no such thing has been suggested, initiated, or even referred to by the Christian Community. Yet, their drive to establish secular-humanism as the official religion of America is in full swing.

Meanwhile, the Liberal Left, through the Democratic Party and the Court System, have made it perfectly clear through the kinds of policies being thrust upon the American People that they wish to rule this country with an iron hand, rather than govern it as humbled servants of the people.

If you look carefully at the policies of the Liberal Left, the intentions behind them seem eerily Christian, while the tactics of implementing these actions are obviously tyrannical.

For Example:

Christians Taking Care of the Poor - Christianity has always done what it can to care for the poor, and down-trodden. Christian charities and churches have focused on this need for as long as history can tell, through local missions, local ministries, and international missionary work. Christians do this voluntarily, out of love, and out of the the goodness of their hearts.

Liberals Taking Care of the Poor - The Liberal Left also believes in doing what we can to care for the poor, and down-trodden. However, in addition to charities, the Left believes that we should also be forced to give involuntarily through a progressive tax system specifically designed to redistribute wealth from the successful to the non-successful. Note that a heavy progressive or graduated income tax is the second plank of Marxism/Communism.

Christians Taking Care of the Homeless - One of my Mom's best friends is a part of a ministry that keys in on feeding the homeless. Every weekend they gather in a park and provide meals for the homeless, voluntarily giving their time, money, and labor to this noble cause. The hope is that the homeless will embrace Christ, and with the renewed relationship with God will find a way to work their way out of their situation and rejoin society as a productive member of America.

Liberals Taking Care of the Homeless - Again, the Liberal Left believes that in addition to charitable work, the citizens of America must take care of the homeless through their taxes, creating government programs that the homeless can learn to depend upon, which will give them no incentive to pull themselves out of their forlorn situation.

Christians Protecting Children - The Christian Community has a long history of Church-run ministries designed to protect children. The Church encourages families to remain together, rather than succumb to divorce, and for members of Christianity to adopt children who are in dire need of a good home.

Liberals Protecting Children - Through the use of Child Protection Services the Liberals take children away from families, during which time the parents are guilty until proven innocent, all in the interest of protecting the children. Once the kids wind up in the foster-care system, siblings are often separated, and the liklihood the child will grow up and participate in a life of crime increases. Abuse in the foster system is rampant. Liberalism also supports killing children if the birth of such children inconveniences the family. The opinion that a child is better to die in the womb, than live in a struggling family, is rampant among Liberals. Again, you pay for this against your will through taxation.

Christians Regarding Marriage - Marriage is a Christian Institution that government has no business regulating, or taxing (such as in the form of licenses). The legal end of marriage should be based on decisions by the couples through the legal system, not based on government regulations. Situations, such as family members visiting in the hospital, should include anyone that is close to the patient, including friends. That is just common sense, and their should be no legality about it. For the government to tax and regulate marriage in the first place is wrong, but for government then to try to take it upon itself to change the definition of marriage, as well, could be catastrophic to the foundations of a moral society. Besides, Gays, for example, can marry if they want by having a ceremony at a church that agrees with same sex marriage. As for the government recognition of that marriage, as I stated earlier, government should not be in the marriage business in the first place, much less redefining marriage.

Liberals Regarding Marriage - Tradition means nothing to Liberalism, nor does the importance of an institution to any other group, especially as it pertains to Christianity. Liberalism believes that they should be able to militantly change the meaning of marriage and force this new meaning upon the Christian Community, regardless of whether or not Christians like it. Remember, these are also the same people who believe in abortion, meaning that they place justifying their sexual lifestyles above the lives of babies on a scale of importance. Desiring Marriage, as they do, which is a Christian Institution, tells me they wish to be more like Christianity, while destroying the sanctity of its institutions at the same time.

In the end, the intentions, and the end results, as pertaining to Liberalism, does not match. The ideology is a deception designed to use good intentions to take away liberties, destroy religion, and pursue a secular-humanistic Utopian Society - one that basic human nature would never allow to work as the Liberal Left envisions, and one that would ultimately give rise to a totalitarian government intent on ensuring people follow the will of the government, and lose their individuality and abilities to be personally responsible for their own lives.

The Obama Administration may not be technically tyrannical, yet, but the evidence, when compared to other historical systems similar to what the Democrats are trying to put in place, is that a socialist tyranny is on the horizon.

Regular listeners of the Political Pistachio Radio Revolution will remember that I have often compared Barack Obama to the peanut farmer from Georgia, Jimmy Carter - except I call Obama's presidency like Carter's incompetence times ten. Remember the economic disaster this nation was in at the end of Carter's reign, as well as into the first couple years of the Reagan Presidency? Remember the Islamic Revolution that occurred in Iran as a direct result of Jimmy Carter cutting the Shah off at the knees? Remember Jimmy's ineptness regarding the Hostage Crisis?

As Obama said in Los Angeles recently, "You ain't seen nothing yet."

USS John McCain Navy Warship to Intercept North Korean Vessel

My first vessel I was stationed aboard in the United States Navy was the USS Chandler, Guided Missile Destroyer, DDG-996. At the time it was a state of the art vessel. Today's Destroyers are more advanced, and are awesome warships when compared to my now de-commissioned Chandler.

The USS John McCain is one such vessel. The John McCain is a true Naval warship, and it is headed toward North Korea.

The U.S. Navy has been instructed to intercept a North Korean ship that is believed to be hauling weapons material that is in violation of a United Nations resolution.

This decision follows the threats by North Korea's leader, Kim Jong Il, that any search and seizure will be viewed as an act of war.

Has Obama decided to call North Korea's bluff? Is it a bluff?

The USS John McCain is the same navy destroyer that was being shadowed by the Chinese recently.

Selfish Liberalism

The latest generation is often referred to as the "me" generation. The designation infers that we are becoming a society of selfish, narcissistic ingrates.

If you look at the liberal left platform, it turns out that they are very selfish indeed.

For example: The abortion issue is not about the lives of innocent children, but about the selfish desire of a woman to be able to discard a life for any selfish reason.

Homosexuality disregards the sanctity of marriage, or the family unit, and seeks to destroy the moral foundations of our society with a selfish desire to normalize their sexually aberrant behavior. When you then couple this with their position on abortion, you realize they place a greater importance on their sexual lifestyle than they do the lives of innocent children.

You can go through the other issues too, and recognize the selfishness of liberalism.

That is what amazes me so. As you listen to the leftists proclaim their positions, the more you realize they are really a bunch of selfish, mean-spirited narcissists.

Cultural Warfare and Earthly Entanglements

"Culture" in the terms of the American Culture, can be viewed in many ways. The American Culture can be a number of things, be they unique, or combined with other aspects of life. Our culture may be portrayed by the way people dress, the way they eat, language, religion, political persuasion, social issues, architecture, or a wide range of other perceptions. Our lives are lived within culture, and there is no escaping it, no matter what we do.

We live in the world, but that does not mean we have to live "of" the world.

American Culture has deteriorated drastically, and the proponents of a relativistic, or pluralistic, society uses smoke-screen propaganda, making it look like they are looking our for the common good, or your civil liberties, when in the long-run the radicalism of leftist cultural warfare is about secularizing the American society to the point that any reference to God is eliminated.

To achieve their goal they must provide enough earthly entanglements to dismantle the family, and encourage people to allow the nation to provide them their decent standard of living, rather than encourage individuals to be personally responsible. It is government's job to protect the citizenry, and provide the opportunity for a better environment and broader prosperity. We should have the freedom to fail, as much as we should have the freedom to succeed. After all, success is best achieved after the lessons of failure are experienced.

A strong, central government is not capable of ensuring we all have fulfilled lives, or making everything fair. When government begins to provide from cradle to grave, choices of the individual are limited, and bureaucrats begin to micro-manage our lives.

The secular society envisions a world where the rich must have their income redistributed so that those who failed, or find themselves stuck in the mud of poverty, can enjoy the success of the successful as well. In the eyes of the secular progressives, private property belongs to the state, and there should be no judgments whatsoever on personal behavior (as long as that behavior is not religious). If you don't hate Republican Presidents, or adore to the point of losing all objectivity Democrat Presidents, you are an enemy of the liberal left. They are indoctrinating our youth, and the GOP and conservative talkers are more preoccupied with the politics that graces the news pages, rather than recognizing the wider struggle between traditionalism and secular liberal leftism.

The rules of the oppressors are simple. Make no judgments regarding personal behavior, unless that behavior is somehow associated with God. Behavior associated with the worship of God, specifically the Christian God, is fair game for persecution. Anyone engaging in any personal behavior of any kind, regardless of its acceptability in a moral society, is not only allowed to portray such behavior in public, but is encouraged to do so, while preaching that such behavior is normal. However, any behavior that worships or acknowledges God in the Public Square must be eliminated, because such activities can be offensive to those who are trying to justify the normalcy of the activities that have not been acceptable in the past. You may pursue success, but be prepared to be penalized for that success through progressive taxation so that your earnings may be redistributed to people who have done nothing to deserve it. The Family Unit, to the secular liberal, is bad, and must be compromised by encouraging the abortion of the unborn, and homosexual activity. Killing is moral if it is the old or broken (euthanasia), or innocent unborn children (abortion). However, murderous madmen imprisoned for heinous crimes against humanity have a right to life, and in the case of confessed terrorists who have killed, or desire to kill, American citizens or soldiers, must be released and treated with kid gloves. The world must be without borders, and laws may be suspended to allow the free movement of any human being on Earth, even if it places economies and job markets in jeopardy. After all, it is up to the Government to provide prosperity for all, and since we are "one" people, a global governing body must be ushered in to ensure the entire world is fairly and equally miserable.

As a result of the leftist agenda, the U.S. Constitution has been perverted (especially when it comes to the mythical claim of "Separation of Church and State"), which is being used to remove virtually all things religious from public life, despite the fact that our nation's founding principles were based upon Judeo-Christian values. In fact, if you read the First Amendment carefully, it is careful to state that the free exercise of religion shall not be prohibited. This is because the public expression of faith is one of the very freedoms most cherished by our Founding Fathers. They believed that the exercise of religion must remain unpunished, and unrestrained by government.

But why would a secular leftist agenda desire to silence, and remove, religion from society?

The obvious answers are that the morality prescribed by God looks down upon the leftist desire to allow girls of any age to be able to obtain abortions, looks down upon the euthanasia movement, rejects legalizing narcotics, considers homosexuality a sin, and is not accepting of a whole host of other social issues. But ultimately, the reason for the leftist agenda trying to silence religion is because a strong, centralized government must be all things to all people. Government must be the sole provider of all things, and such a socialist system cannot tolerate competition. People daring to worship a God more than government stand in the way of the utopian society that "statists" desire achieving. Therefore, God must be eliminated.

And one way to compromise God's hold on the religious is to create Earthly entanglements to enable the faithful to stumble. Then, discredit God by painting Him as a punitive being (you sin, and it's off to Hell with you), rather than the beneficent being He is as a being wanting to help people.

Anita MonCrief, the woman [Andrea Shea King] interviewed last night, has just learned she's being sued. She put out a Tweet alerting the world about it and [Andrea] just got off the phone with her.

"Urgent: Tweeps, I have been sued by Project Vote/ACORN. Federal Lawsuit. If I have to maintain radio silence for awhile, I am still here. RT"

As you can imagine, she's stunned but not surprised, and is seeking legal counsel, as she reads through a 30-page complaint.

'We The People' defined

Politicians run on high hopes and glittering campaign promises. Each new administration carries out the same basic platform of the previous administration, while denouncing the policies of their predecessor. Despite the politician’s best intentions, the ultimate goal of an expanding government is to rule, rather than govern, and manage, rather than lead. Government exists for itself, and will go to any length to protect its existence.

Presidential candidates sell themselves as problem solvers. Each one of the politicians vying for the positions of “leaders of the free world” recognizes that worsening the health of a nation’s stability is easy enough, but repairing the problems are near impossible, or at least unfixable in the short term. Any serious attempt to fix what ails the American Government will take generations of dedication, and a true shake up of what has become standard strategies in American politics. In short, there will be no correction in the path of this nation in the near future without a complete house cleaning of Washington DC, which includes stripping the American leadership of its unconstitutional power.

The beltway gang of politicians have long since ceased to be statesmen. Honor, and privilege, are words no longer in their vocabulary. The American politician believes government can solve problems, no matter what it is. Throw a little money at it, and “poof,” resolution achieved. Nothing, however, could be farther from the truth.

In the words of Ronald Reagan during his first inaugural address, “Government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.”

Recognizing the causes of what ails the American form of government is a valuable first step to resolving our downward spiraling Governmental system. The standard bearer of what the government should be is in the writings of the founders of this nation. The United States Constitution, if followed using the original intent of the founding fathers, is the roadmap to a prosperous, and successful, nation. If government followed the U.S. Constitution, as it claims it does, the American political scene would be a vastly different one.

“We The People” is the most recognized constitutional phrase. Remind folks of the presence of those first three words of the Preamble, and more often than not, they will recognize them.

Take careful notice that the first three words of the United States Constitution did not turn out to be “We The States,” or “We The Lawyers,” or “We The Politicians.” The founders recognized that government, without checks and balances, is destined to become tyrannical. What better check than giving the people the power to effect change in their own government?

The remainder of the Preamble explains “why” the Constitution was written. The first three words, “We The People,” designate for whom the document was written.

By the people, of the people, and for the people. “The people” is the most important ingredient of the American form of government. The founders recognized that to succeed, the American form of government needed to be answerable to the people. The U.S. Constitution, then, affords power to the citizens to hold government leaders at all levels accountable for their actions.

“We The People,” by being the first three words of the U.S. Constitution, are the most important words. It is for the people that the document was written. In return, the people are instructed by the very responsibility afforded to them to continue to hold their leaders accountable, and to initiate effective civic action intended to compel government officials to obey federal and state constitutions. The responsibility of the nation lies on the shoulders of the people, because politicians are not always honorable, and once power is gained in the form of obtaining public office, the primary goal of the politician ceases to be the betterment of the nation.

Power is an intoxicating drug. Once obtained, the individual will do just about anything to maintain power by securing re-election. This is why the U.S. Constitution divides power extensively, and grants most of the power to the people, for whom the government exists in the first place.

Leaving the government with no power, as The Articles of Confederation essentially did, was dangerous as well. A Democracy, in which the people ruled directly by majority vote, could lead to “mob rule,” and the ultimate instability of a system. Though the wishes of the majority was important, a Direct Democracy would wind up abusing the rights of minority voting groups.

The Founding Fathers chose to craft a Representative Republic, enabling the people to hold ultimate power of the government through an election process. The representatives voted into office by the people are tasked with making policy decisions reflecting the desires of his or her constituency. The elected officials are expected to uphold the will of the people as best as can be done, well knowing that failure to do so will ultimately result in being voted out of office by the people.

Giving the power of election to the people grants sovereignty to the people, and to the states. The U.S. Constitution granted these principles to the people in order to limit the federal government. The U.S. Constitution is specific in the fundamental structure of government, and the limits to the activities granted to the federal government. These limits are intended to prevent government from expanding into a tyrannical entity that makes its political decisions based on the whims or ambitions of politicians, rather than what is in the best interest of the people.

From the very beginning the American form of government was designed to be owned by the people. The Articles of Confederation gave all of the power to the people, and to the states. The Articles of Confederation proved to be unsatisfactory, so limiting the federal government that it had scarcely enough power to act directly in the interest of the American citizens. In 1787, 55 of the founding fathers gathered in Philadelphia to fix the short-comings of The Articles of Confederation. After five months of debate in the sweltering heat, with the windows of Independence Hall closed, they framed, and drafted the United States Constitution.

The Constitution was a marked shift from The Articles of Confederation. The union had been made more perfect, and the framers of the Constitution saw to it that they said so in the Preamble.

Sen. Boxer Instructs Brigadier General Not to Call Her Ma’am

I am speechless. Boxer specifically says, "I worked so hard to get that title," as if the title of Senator is for her, and her rise to power, rather than being a humbled servant of the people. Also, calling people "Sir" or "Ma'am" is a part of the integrity of the military, an important part of the discipline of a military service member. I wonder if she was offended because being called "Ma'am" reminded her too much of the dreaded military nature of the armed services, too.

These people, the Democrats (and most of the Republicans), and their narcissistic, elitist, "I am so high on this pedestal" attitude disgusts me. You are a Senator, Ms. Boxer, and in my opinion, one of the most despicable U.S. Senators on the Hill. Obama Not Meddling Led Iran To Accuse The U.S. of Meddling

Confused?

Well, after Obama being careful, hoping that too much American opinion may make the Iranian leadership hate us (oops, too late), and not wanting the world to think the Obama Administration is getting too involved in foreign affairs it ought not be involved in, Iran is accusing the United States of meddling in their business (after the disputed vote), and is accusing the U.S. of actively fueling dissent.

Is what we are seeing a re-do of the 1979 Islamic Revolution, but in the other direction?

The Iranian Government, still under the iron fist rule of the Mullahs, is cracking down on the dissidents who are twittering with their cell phones, and blogging to their heart's content.

If America is at fault for meddling at all, it is for being the bastion of freedom, and representing the freedom the rest of the world desires. And if that is "at fault," then we should be proud to be guilty as charged.

North Korea Willing To Wage Nuclear War

While everyone is watching the riots in Iran, and fighting over whether or not Obama's plan to solve our national debt by doubling the national deficit is a downward tumble into Marxism, or not, North Korea has been making threats.

In a striking act of defiance against the nations that are critical of North Korea's nuclear weapons goal, Kim Jong Il promised to not only make more nukes, but to enrich uranium with the specific intention of making more weapons.

North Korea recently warned that any blockade by the United States would be seen as an act of war, and the raging short guy of North Korea (Kim Jong Il) is hardly shy about making threats. Even in the face of new penalties against the country, North Korea has threatened war against any country interfering with its ships.

Joe Biden has declared that it is important the U.S., and other nations, ensure the sanctions against North Korea stick (like these actions have worked before).

The nuclear threat from North Korea will not be going away soon. Destroying the North Korean weapons may be the only option left on the table, but Obama is too weak of a leader to take any definitive action.

Worst Drivers In The U.S.

It turns out, to my great surprise, the worst drivers in the U.S. are not in Southern California. Turns out that drivers in New Jersey take that crown. In fact, California didn't even make the top ten.

Perhaps if the study had been on the fastest, most out of control drivers that somehow find a way not to crash into each other unless the fog gets thick, California would have taken the crown.

The dictum finally came down from the lord Barack Obama, the messiah, the most merciful that all the land should be taxed and part of the proceeds would be used to fund socialized car care.

Mac the mechanic, who had been an auto mechanic for at least 30 years received notice in the mail that he would no longer be able to bill people directly for his services, but would rather have to send a monthly claim to the administration of car care and auto repair. Mac had always pretty much run a cash and carry service. His loyal customers would bring their cars in for service. Mac, who was very competent and very well liked, would go over the problems with his clientele, make the authorized repairs, get paid in cash, and everyone was happy. If any unexpected problems occurred, Mac would do his best to make things right.

Israel, Democrats say You Are On Your Own

When asked about a statement that left doubt regarding America's position should Iran attack Israel, Hillary Clinton stated, "I think it is U.S. policy to the extent that we have alliances and understandings with a number of nations. I don't think there is any doubt in anyone's mind that, were Israel to suffer a nuclear attack by Iran, there would be retaliation."

Notice, it would have to be a nuclear attack. Conventional invasion by Muslim nations against Israel will probably only result in Obama condemning Israel for existing, which is obviously the reason the Muslims are so angry at the tiny nation.

Then Hillary Clinton was pressed with the question, "By the United States?"

Hillary Clinton declined to commit, settling on, "Well, I think there would be retaliation."

Could it be that while pressuring Israel to settle for a two-state solution, which would ultimately lead to an attack against Israel since such a move would embolden Islamists who desire Israel destroyed, and is a clear indication that Obama supports Israel's enemies more than any support they'd be willing to give to Israel (so much for not meddling in the affairs of other nations), the Democrats are not willing to come to her defense should Israel be attacked, and face annihilation?

What kind of people remain silent when the Iranian people cry out for freedom, and calls the nation (Israel), who is surrounded by the enemy, and is constantly attacked by their neighbors, the oppressor, and expects them to give up land for peace that will never be given to them?

Oh, yeah, those mean, selfish idiots that call themselves Democrats.
