Mortality

I recognize my own mortality. On July 1, 1985 I had an automobile accident that nearly killed me. I was in a deep coma for a week and a half, and was "lights out and nobody home" for a couple months after that. I incurred a left-temporal fracture that caused problems with my intellect, memory, and basic functioning. I had to learn to walk all over again, and for many years suffered from post-traumatic epilepsy. This does not even include my damaged knee, the loss of most of my hearing in my left ear, the tinnitus, and the chronic joint pain.
As much as I understand my mortality, life has been throwing quite a few reminders at me, as of late.
In life, my three closest friends in the last year have been my buddy Rich, who died in an auto accident last November, Paul Young, who suffered a heart attack earlier this year, and Ignacio.
Nacho and I have been friends since the seventies (middle school). He has been a dear friend, like a brother to me, and a person I can call anytime to talk to about just about anything. He has Multiple Myeloma, and the cancer is at stage 3. The chemo-therapy recently caused him to lose all of his hair (it is fighting to grow back in), and he often finds himself sick as a result of the low white blood cell count from the numerous procedures in place to extend his life. I pray for him constantly, and I wish I could spend more time with him. When I am around Nacho, I find that I don't know what to say. As an optimistic person in general, I try to be an optimistic around him, telling him the other day that at 47, we are almost half a century old - and only half way to the finish line. He grinned, but it was a pained one.
Like me, Nacho is a Christian, and we are not worried where we will wind up after we leave this world. As I like to say, "It is not death, it is just a change of location."
Still, life on Earth is fragile, yet an important part of our existence. We have to do our best as Christians to share the good news of Christ, and be with each other in times of need. . . and in times of peace. We are in this together, and we need to be fellowshipping together. After all, in this world, we are mere mortals.

Chirping Dinner
My wife and I have a sort of empty nest. The kids are grown up, with three kids each. Our son, and his family, live right around the corner, so we get to see those grandkids quite often. Our daughter is up the way a bit, but my wife makes sure to pay her a visit at least once every week, or two.
With the kids gone, it does not mean that we have an empty house. We have two dogs. One of them is an older Siberian Husky named Sasha who is territorial, loving, and a bit slower than she was in her younger years. Murphy is the younger dog, approaching a year, and he is about as hyperactive as they get. He is a Yorkie-Chihuahua mix, and he is named after Murphy's Law. I have never seen an unluckier animal in my life.
The turtle has no name. My wife just calls it "turtle," and I call it "turtle-boy," even though we have no clue of what sex the animal is. He, or she, is quite active when my wife or I am in the room, splashing around and climbing up the glass. She says it is simply because we feed it. I think the turtle likes us, and is trying to get attention.
The other critters are our geckos. The larger one gets along with everyone, and the smaller one is suspicious of everyone. When I feed the geckos, the smaller one will eyeball me until I leave, unwilling to eat with me present. The food for these guys are live crickets. We get crickets for them about once per week.
It is the crickets that inspired me to write this piece.
I realize that crickets, or any insect or bug, can't rationalize. I realize they are nothing more than slaves to their instinct. But it cracks me up that after the geckos eat the first few crickets on feeding day, the remainder can be heard chirping daily until finally the last of them are eaten.
The crickets are food. Their companions have been eaten. They are in the enclosure with the predators that are anxious to eat them. So their first thought is to start chirping?
It is almost like they are singing, "Here we are. . . come and get us."
Once again, I know that these things are not capable of rational thought, but you would think even an insect, while in the presence of something that wants to eat it, could remain silent, and hide out someplace.
I can hear them chirping now, though they are not as loud. The geckos must've eaten a couple more.
Silence is once again on the horizon, until we pour more chirpers into the arena.

Baby Royal

I hear that a new baby royal has been born in Britain. A little boy. They say he is third in line for the crown, and the United Kingdom is abuzz over the birth.
Personally, I don't care. I am not into people who think they are above everyone else.
I am not trying to be mean. I am fine with the fact that for some people this is a big event to watch. I am not into that kind of thing. I don't watch reality shows, I don't care about royal happenings regarding people that are nothing more than figureheads, and I can't stand boy bands, the Bieber, or award shows for singers, actors, and sports figures. None of those people are at a higher level than anybody else. In God's eyes, we are the same - frail, unworthy, people.
My television is for two things. Baseball, and football. I pay attention to statistics, standings, and politics. Not much else.
Back to the baby king. . . I hope he's cute, I hope he's healthy, and I hope he grows up to be well mannered. Otherwise, I am not overly concerned. Enjoy. Pay attention. Know everything you can about him. You might as well, because I sure won't.

Obama Signs Anti-Protest Bill
Only days after clearing Congress, US President Barack Obama signed his name to H.R. 347 on Thursday, officially making it a federal offense to cause a disturbance at certain political events — essentially criminalizing protest in the States.
RT broke the news last month that H.R. 347, the Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011, had overwhelmingly passed the US House of Representatives after only three lawmakers voted against it. On Thursday this week, President Obama inked his name to the legislation and authorized the government to start enforcing a law that has many Americans concerned over how the bill could bury the rights to assemble and protest as guaranteed in the US Constitution.
Under H.R. 347, which has more commonly been labeled the Trespass Bill by Congress, knowingly entering a restricted area that is under the jurisdiction of Secret Service protection can garner an arrest. The law is actually only a slight change to earlier legislation that made it an offense to knowingly andwillfully commit such a crime. Under the Trespass Bill’s latest language chance, however, someone could end up in law enforcement custody for entering an area that they don’t realize is Secret Service protected and “engages in disorderly or disruptive conduct” or “impede[s] or disrupt[s] the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions.”
The Secret Service serves as the police that protects not just current and former American presidents, but are also dispatched to monitor special events of national significance, a category with a broad cast of qualifiers. In the past, sporting events, state funerals, inaugural addresses and NATO and G-8 Summits have been designated as such by the US Department of Homeland Security, the division that decides when and where the Secret Service are needed outside of their normal coverage.
Mara Verheyden-Hilliard of the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund tells the International Business Times that the Trespass Bill in its current form “means it's easier to prosecute under 'knowingly,'” instead of both knowingly and willfully, “which is an issue because someone could knowingly enter a restricted but not necessarily realize they are committing a crime.” Speaking with IB Times, Verheyden-Hilliard tries to lay to rest claims that the Constitution will be crippled by the Trespass Bill, but acknowledges that it does indeed allow law enforcement to have added incentive to arrest protesters who could be causing a disturbance.
"[HR 347] has been described as a death knell for the First Amendment, but that isn't supported by the facts," Verheyden-Hilliard adds. "This has always been a bad law."
Gabe Rottman of the American Civil Liberties Union adds to IB Times, "Bottom line, it doesn't create any new violations of the law.” So far, however, it has raised awareness of the levels that the US government are willing to go to in order to make it harder to express ones’ self.
Under the act, protesting in areas covered by Secret Service could land a demonstrator behind bars, and the thing about the Secret Service (in case you couldn’t tell by their name), is that they don’t always make it clear where they are. You could even say that the service they provide, at times, is keptsecret.

Bloomberg: We are all Muslims, now
Michael Bloomberg shamed those who oppose the Ground Zero Victory Mosque and told a Ramadan audience this week, “We are all Muslims.”
We are now in the Islamic holy month of fasting called Ramadan, and Bloomberg hosted last night an annual iftar, or fast-breaking dinner, at Gracie Mansion.
In his his remarks, Bloomberg, who has previously supported the Park51 project in the name of both property rights and religious freedom, once again spoke truth to fear and hatred. He admitted that “there are people of good will on both sides of the debate.” He acknowledged that the World Trade Center site is “hallowed ground.” And he observed that “there are people of every faith–including, perhaps, some in this room–who are hoping that a compromise will end the debate.”
“But it won’t,” he said.
The community center can and must be built at the Park51 site, he said. Anything less would “compromise our commitment to fighting terror with freedom.”
Bloomberg brought home the point that the propaganda war now being waged on Islam in America threatens to undercut our counterinsurgency battle for “hearts and minds” in Iraq and Afghanistan. “If we do not practice here at home what we preach abroad–if we do not lead by example–we undermine our soldiers,” he said. “We undermine our foreign policy objectives. And we undermine our national security.”
Bloomberg ended his talk by quoting some words from the embattled (LYING) Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf:
At an interfaith memorial service for the martyred journalist Daniel Pearl*, Imam Rauf said, ‘If to be a Jew means to say with all one’s heart, mind, and soul: Shma` Yisrael, Adonai Elohenu Adonai Ehad; Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One, not only today I am a Jew, I have always been one. Illegal Rainwater

I stepped into the Protective Bunkers and Survival Center, and on the other side of the room, to the left, was an eave, with a rain gutter, and a system drawing the simulated rainwater into a barrel. What a concept. Especially in California where earthquakes are common, and the big one is expected anytime soon. When a major quake hits, all utilities will probably go down. To take care of my electricity needs I have a generator. To replace my natural gas needs we have propane, and devices that run on propane. Water, however, once the water we have stored is gone, would become something of a problem. . . until now.
So, to protect my family, collecting rainwater is a wise thing to do.
Not so fast.
For some reason the bureaucrats out there don't want you to be able to protect your family. A number of States have decided that collecting rainwater on your own property is a no-no, because the rain falling from the sky belongs to someone else.
Salt Lake City officials worked out a compromise with the gentleman, and are now permitting him to use “their” rainwater.
Ronald Reagan once said, "Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it."

Last year, in Oregon, we were shocked when a man went to jail over collecting rainwater. The claim was that he wasn't using approved reservoirs. Ultimately, it was because the liberal lefties running Oregon decided the water didn't belong to him. . . even though it fell from the sky.
Now, in Utah, a resident found out that it is illegal to divert rainwater without a valid water right. His rainwater collection system violated the law, according to the bureaucrats in Utah because rainwater belongs exclusively to Utah’s various government bodies.

Oregon and Utah aren't the only states with rainwater collection bans, either. Colorado and Washington also have rainwater collection restrictions that limit the free use of rainwater.
In Colorado, two new laws were recently passed that exempt certain small-scale rainwater collection systems, like the kind people might install on their homes, from collection restrictions. Colorado only made these allowances for small scale collection because of a study that discovered letting people collect rainwater on their properties actually reduces demand from water facilities and improves conservation.
The argument that collecting rainwater prevents that water from getting to where it was intended to go is not the real reason for these laws, however. Like with everything else the statists do, it is all about control.
Control may not have been the entire reason in the beginning, though. As people become more aware of these laws, we realize that some of these laws are over 100 years old and were put into place when rainwater for the community was a more important issue, since outside sources were not as accessible. The awareness by the public, and the willingness to become active, is resulting in some of these laws being reversed.
Regardless of whether the rainwater laws are in place for originally a good reason, or not, one thing is for sure - in this time and age where we are becoming more aware of government control machinations in place, a la IRS, NSA, and other methods, the allowance to collect rainwater has become a bigger issue, one of reestablishing freedoms, and decreasing government control.
The federal government is not supposed to be involved with internal issues at all, according to the United States Constitution, and we are supposed to have a better handle on our State governments. We have been indoctrinated to believe the government has control over our rights, but our rights are unalienable. They were granted to us by our Creator. That means they belong to us, and it is up to us to ensure those rights remain in our possession - and that includes collecting God-given rainwater.

As I tell my Constitution Class on regular occasion, The Constitution is only ink and paper if you don't fight for it, and your rights are merely ideas if you don't ensure they remain in your possession. The growing bureaucratic power seeking to continue to expand, until it is some tyrannical leviathan, can only be reined in if we are willing to make sure we are involved.

Statism works to control everything. Rainwater, what you eat, how you act, what you worship, and ultimately the air you breath and the sunlight that bathes our world. If they can't tax it, they will figure out a way to tax everything around whatever it is they seek to control. That is how government works if not limited by a constitution, and the actions of informed voters.
They wish to tax all property, and control everything you do.
It's just like being a property owner. If you think you own the land you live on, try not paying the property taxes, and see what happens.

Obamacare's Troubles By Design, and a Data Hub
The Affordable Care Act is so despicable, even the Republicans are beginning to see the reality that it must be repealed, not replaced. Barack Obama, and his minions, know that they are losing ground, and are doing whatever they can to get support back for the federal health care law, while targeting individuals, and handing out waivers to allies, and delaying business killing mandates against companies. Never mind that from a constitutional perspective, regardless of what the ideology-influenced Supreme Court Justices say (remember, those people are supposed to be apolitical, but their rulings, and the opinions attached to those rulings, are telling us otherwise), health insurance, and health care in general, is not an authority granted to the federal government by the United States Constitution in the first place.
As time passes, the truth about the dangers that Obamacare poses become more and more apparent. None of it surprises those that have opposed the monstrosity from the beginning, be it rising health care costs, rising insurance premiums, tyrannical mandates, and unworkable programs. In fact, they have been illegally amending it just to try to make some of the components work. It is so complex, the law is unworkable, unenforceable, and too general. . . by design.
Ultimately, the plan is for all hell to break loose, for the failure of the system to be astronomical, and then Obama stepping in to save the day with federally controlled socialized medicine (a.k.a. Single Payer).
When the IRS and NSA scandals surfaced, Americans began to become more aware of the dwindling liberties we are experiencing under the hidden iron fist of the current administration (while blaming it on the previous administration). As we wade through the turmoil of the Zimmerman Trial aftermath, we are realizing how divisive this nation is becoming, by design, under the tutelage of the race-baiting manipulators of the Obama administration. We are discovering, with the alphabet scandals, that our privacy does not belong to us anymore. This government, under liberal control, is determined to know everything about us, and use that information to control our every move. We are aware, we think, of the intrusion of the federal government into our lives. . . yet, the real danger, the real liberty killer, is within the pages of the massive Affordable Care Act.
Obamacare's big brother database, for those of us that have been on task since the beginning, is of no surprise. The Obama administration hired 16,000 more IRS agents to enforce Obamacare, and we know how the IRS likes to target anyone that opposes Obama. With all of that additional personnel also comes a Data Hub that is a massive comprehensive database of personal information being established by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to implement the federally facilitated health insurance exchanges.
The presence of the idea of the centralized Data Hub is making some lawmakers nervous, and should be making you very nervous as well.
It brings to mind the famous quote by Ronald Reagan that essentially goes, "The most frightening words in the English language are, 'Hi, we're from the government, and we're here to help.'"
The federal government has already shown that they can't be trusted, and yet they are now doing what they can to access and store our personal information, all of it, in one location, under federal guardianship. The potential for abuse with this Data Hub is enormous. The massive, centralized database will include comprehensive personal information such as income and financial data, family size, citizenship and immigration status, incarceration status, social security numbers, and private health information - though I wouldn't doubt your political affiliation, and history, will be included, too. It will compile dossiers based on information obtained from the IRS, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, the Veterans Administration, the Office of Personnel Management, the Social Security Administration, state Medicaid databases, and for some reason the Peace Corps. The Data Hub will provide web-based, one-stop shopping for prying into everyone's personal affairs.
The beast of tyranny is a bureaucracy, and the method is Obamacare. . . in the name of the common good.
I wonder if folks like Wikileaks are licking their chops?
Have you ever heard the old saying, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket?"
The federal government is asking us to not only allow all of our information to be in one place, but to trust them with it. Forget Wikileaks. What about the IRS scandal where conservative groups were being purposely targeted? What about the NSA scandal where the federal government is tapping into our lives without any warrants, as if you are the enemy? The Obama administration is already trying to divide this country, and separate their opposition from the rest of Americans, as if any opposition against the Obama administration is some kind of sedition against the nation. Will the voters that are dependent upon the government, thus making them forever democrat voters, cry foul when conservatives are denied health services? Or when the Data Hub is used to hunt them down for daring to drink a soda larger than 16 ounces? How easy, with this Data Hub, would it be for the government to hunt you down because some doctor snitched that your child told him mommy and daddy has guns? Who will dare oppose the government when the death panel denies a life-saving procedure because the patient is considered an enemy of the state?
Every science fiction nightmare about a government rising up against the people, and placing that people into technological bondage, is on the horizon, and only a full repeal of Obamacare, and the defeat of liberalism, will stop it.
In other words, a return to the Constitution is our only solution.

Phil Mickelson Won the British Open

I used to golf. I haven't in years because of various health issues, and the cost. But I still follow the PGA as much as I can. I have become quite a big fan of Rickie Fowler, my claim to fame being that I played against him a couple of times, and got beat badly by him. . . and he was only a kid back then.
Tiger Woods has always been intriguing, but I never became a hard-core Tiger fan. He, in his prime, was phenomenal. Tiger is still a force to be reckoned with. But for me, I have always had a place in my heart for Phil Mickelson - the man that would be the greatest golfer of his era if not for the presence of Tiger Woods.
After being in the thick of things in the U.S. Open, recently, only to end up as sixth-runner-up, Mickelson has pulled off an incredible victory at the British Open, pulling off a come-from-behind victory that was stunning, to say the least. He shot 5 under par in the final round to make up for being five shots behind the leader, and pulling off his first-ever victory at the British Open.
Tiger Woods never seemed to get his game in gear, and for Mickelson, that may have been fortunate. Then again, the way Phil was playing, Tiger might not have ever caught him.
Congratulations, Phil Mickelson, I am a fan beaming with pride.

After being in the thick of things in the U.S. Open, recently, only to end up as sixth-runner-up, Mickelson has pulled off an incredible victory at the British Open, pulling off a come-from-behind victory that was stunning, to say the least. He shot 5 under par in the final round to make up for being five shots behind the leader, and pulling off his first-ever victory at the British Open.
Tiger Woods never seemed to get his game in gear, and for Mickelson, that may have been fortunate. Then again, the way Phil was playing, Tiger might not have ever caught him.
Congratulations, Phil Mickelson, I am a fan beaming with pride.

New Zealand Struck by 6.9 Earthquake
6.9 magnitude earthquake strikes off New Zealand coast
A 6.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of New Zealand on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter was about 35 miles (57 kilometers) south of Wellington, New Zealand, the USGS said. The quake struck at a depth of 6.3 miles (10.1 kilometers).
No tsunami warning was issued.
The quake was the latest in a series of tremors that have jolted New Zealand's Lower North Island in the past few days.
Residents reported some structural damage after the 6.9 magnitude quake, but it was not immediately clear whether there were any serious injuries.

Intern Asks Obama administration, regarding Zimmerman's safety, "Is Zimmerman on his own?"
16-year-old Daily Caller intern Gabe Finger was called upon to ask a question of White House press secretary Jay Carney on Wednesday. The question he asked was, “Because of the death threats being received by George Zimmerman and his parents, is the President going to take any action for their security, or are they on their own?”
This happens to be a question I’ve been asked myself. Not only Zimmerman himself, but also his parents, have gone into hiding due to death threats from the Mostly Peaceful Protesters. Instead of muttering about how everyone should use their voices and show a little restraint, the Administration should be making it clear that these law-abiding American citizens will be protected by their titanic mega-government. If the Leviathan State can send a SWAT team to raid a guitar company whose CEO just happens to donate money to Barack Obama’s opponents, surely they can cut a few guys loose to protect a family menaced by credible death threats. If the government was doing right by George Zimmerman, he’d be able to walk down any street in America with a big smile on his face, and anyone who tried to harm him would be looking at the end of life as they knew it. That’s what separates civilization from barbarian anarchy.
But since the Obama Administration worked so hard to gin up racial animosity and put a target on Zimmerman’s back, it seems they’d have a particular responsibility for his safety in the aftermath of his acquittal on all charges. Attorney General Eric Holder is pretending to mount national effort to scare up enough allegations of impure thinking on Zimmerman’s part to give the mob the civil-rights trial they want. Holder will never actually do it, because he knows he’d lose. But he’s wasting a lot of time and money on the pretense. Shouldn’t he be more concerned with ensuring Zimmerman’s safety, and actively tracking down those who have threatened his family with harm?
Faced with this question, Jay Carney turned into a cross between Foghorn Leghorn and one of Harry Mudd’s robot girlfriends from Star Trek, while the rest of the White House press corps flew to their fainting couches, cooled their fevered brows with a few flaps of their silk fans, and gasped at the unmitigated gall displayed by this upstart youth in the most fashionable salon of the well-bred Beltway journalistic elite:

The Passing of Helen Thomas

If ever there was a liberal journalist that pulled no punches, Helen Thomas was it. The White House correspondent was respected and feared, and sometimes embarrassed the Democrats when her true feelings sometimes emerged. . . especially when it came to Israel. Nobody ever denied her a seat in the front row, and that seat served her well through 10 presidents. She died, yesterday, at the age of 92.
Born in Kentucky to Lebanese parents, Thomas was a pioneer for women in journalism, seeking journalism after writing for a school newspaper, and building her name into something huge while she was with the United Press International. She built her name by not holding back, asking the hard questions, and torturing her victims.
Her strong opinions, and anti-Israel position, finally led to her leaving the journalism industry in 2010 when she said Israelis should "get out of Palestine" and "go home" to Germany, Poland or the United States. The remark brought down widespread condemnation eventually ending her career.
The departure from that front row seat at White House correspondence events did not end her days writing the news, and her opinion. In January 2011, she became a columnist for a free weekly paper in a Washington suburb. A small ending to a long career, a career primarily spent at White House news conferences, where she was often the one to deliver the closing line: "Thank you, Mister President."
She challenged President John Kennedy for White House secrecy, and she challenged President George W. Bush regarding the war in Iraq - declaring him the worst president in history. She quit UPI in 2000, a shadow of its former self, and her a leviathan that UPI could not keep.
JFK's successor, Lyndon Johnson, complained that he learned of his daughter Luci's engagement from Thomas's story. Thomas was there for President Richard M. Nixon's trip to China in 1972, and she was also there to cover the Watergate scandal, which wound up ending Nixon's presidency.
Thomas stayed with UPI for 57 years, until 2000, when the company was purchased by News World Communications, which was founded by the Rev. Sun Myung Moon, leader of the Unification Church.
An unapologetic liberal, Thomas made no secret of her ill feelings for the final president she covered, George W. Bush. She led the liberal charge with the narrative that invading Iraq was an illegal war, and that Bush was "the worst president in history." She claimed that every justification for the attack was false, discarding any claim that al-Qaeda and the Taliban used Iraq as a safe-haven, and trained in that country under the safety net provided by Saddam Hussein.
After a visit to the White House, David Nesenoff, a rabbi and independent filmmaker, asked Thomas on May 27, 2010, whether she had any comments on Israel. "Tell them to get the hell out of Palestine," she replied. "Remember, these people are occupied and it's their land. It's not Germany, it's not Poland," she continued. Asked where they should go, she answered, "They should go home." When asked where's home, Thomas replied: "Poland, Germany and America and everywhere else."
The resulting controversy brought widespread rejection of her remarks. Jews were offended by her suggestion that Israelis should "go home" to Germany, Poland and America because Israel was initially settled in 1948 by Jews who had survived or escaped Hitler's attempt to kill all the Jews in Germany and in neighboring conquered countries.
Within days, she retired from her job at Hearst.
Nicholas F. Benton, the owner and editor of the Falls Church News-Press, approached her about writing again. Benton, who had published Thomas' column for years when she was syndicated, said Thomas was initially dubious about continuing to write for the free weekly paper, which at the time had a circulation around 25,000.
"She said, 'You don't want me. I'm poison."
He responded that he could handle any criticism, and her column started running in January 2011.

The writing of Helen Thomas remained in the realm of politics, where she continued her liberal-streak, blaming America's woes on a need for a higher capital gains tax, and "a bigger divide between the haves and the have-nots, leaving not much of a middle class in America."
She wrote for the paper for a year, until her health prevented her from continuing.
She fought until the end. Like her, or not, she was an important part of history, and a mainstay in journalism that shaped the industry in ways that some may consider good, and others may consider bad - but regardless of how she shaped the industry, she made her mark, and has stamped her own place in history.

Federal Manipulation of Zimmerman Narrative For Political Advantage

The Obama administration has pinned a lot of political hopes on the rage, for which they, and the media, are largely behind when it comes to their incitement of, that is sweeping the nation among the ranks of minorities, and liberal left whites who suffer from "white guilt", thanks to the verdict by a jury in the George Zimmerman trial. President Barack Obama, and friends, are nurturing the idea that this is not only a racist nation, but it has gotten worse under Obama's watch, and of course it is not Obama's fault, but the fault of the GOP. The fact that George Zimmerman acted in self-defense is being demonized, for if Zimmerman had just laid there and let the poor, innocent Trayvon Martin, who was on top of Zimmerman, beat the living daylights out of him, which included at that point Martin pounding Zimmerman's skull into the concrete, then poor little Trayvon Martin would be alive today to defend himself, and stoke the fires of the "Zimmerman, and anyone who supports the verdict is a racist" narrative. But, since the young Trayvon Martin is dead, and unable to say anything, the federal government, under the leadership of President Obama, is going to do all they can to soothe the feelings of the angry folks breaking windows and burning American Flags, so as to humanely destroy the concept of self-defense (if you're white), stand-your-ground laws (if you're white), the allowance to carry a gun (if you oppose Obama), and overrule and delegitimize our justice system in terms of jury trials (especially if you're white). . . Note, white includes people that could be considered white if the liberal left decides they are, like George Zimmerman, who is a white guy with a Hispanic mom, and with some black ancestry. . . which makes him all white because the race baiters say so.
To ensure the narrative goes the way the Obama administration wants, the federal government is going to file a hate-crime federal suit against a man who was defending himself from being attacked, as determined by a court of law. To ensure the narrative goes the way the Obama administration wants, the federal government is refusing to allow George Zimmerman to have his belongings returned to him, including his gun, because even though he is innocent according to a court of law, the Obama administration believes him to be guilty, and so he can't be trusted with is own private property (despite the fact that the law says Zimmerman must have his property returned to him . . . but then again, whenever does the Obama administration care about the law?).
To ensure white people know better than to fight back in the future, Attorney General Holder is spreading the word that not only should you dare not to fight back, but that you "have a duty to retreat."
Since there is no evidence that Zimmerman is guilty, or that he acted in a manner that proves him to be a racist, the Department of Justice, under orders by the Obama administration, is calling for anyone and everyone that thinks that at one time in his life Zimmerman may have acted or spoken in a racist manner, to snitch on him by reporting such activities, even if those words or actions are decades old (just ask Paula Deen), to the federal government.
This is all, of course, a normal mode of operation for the Obama administration. Turning citizens against citizens is easy. They even have in place a command for children to snitch on their parents. . . in Obama's eyes, parents having guns is child abuse.
That'll teach the opposition for daring to oppose the first black president.

The Obama administration has pinned a lot of political hopes on the rage, for which they, and the media, are largely behind when it comes to their incitement of, that is sweeping the nation among the ranks of minorities, and liberal left whites who suffer from "white guilt", thanks to the verdict by a jury in the George Zimmerman trial. President Barack Obama, and friends, are nurturing the idea that this is not only a racist nation, but it has gotten worse under Obama's watch, and of course it is not Obama's fault, but the fault of the GOP. The fact that George Zimmerman acted in self-defense is being demonized, for if Zimmerman had just laid there and let the poor, innocent Trayvon Martin, who was on top of Zimmerman, beat the living daylights out of him, which included at that point Martin pounding Zimmerman's skull into the concrete, then poor little Trayvon Martin would be alive today to defend himself, and stoke the fires of the "Zimmerman, and anyone who supports the verdict is a racist" narrative. But, since the young Trayvon Martin is dead, and unable to say anything, the federal government, under the leadership of President Obama, is going to do all they can to soothe the feelings of the angry folks breaking windows and burning American Flags, so as to humanely destroy the concept of self-defense (if you're white), stand-your-ground laws (if you're white), the allowance to carry a gun (if you oppose Obama), and overrule and delegitimize our justice system in terms of jury trials (especially if you're white). . . Note, white includes people that could be considered white if the liberal left decides they are, like George Zimmerman, who is a white guy with a Hispanic mom, and with some black ancestry. . . which makes him all white because the race baiters say so.
To ensure the narrative goes the way the Obama administration wants, the federal government is going to file a hate-crime federal suit against a man who was defending himself from being attacked, as determined by a court of law. To ensure the narrative goes the way the Obama administration wants, the federal government is refusing to allow George Zimmerman to have his belongings returned to him, including his gun, because even though he is innocent according to a court of law, the Obama administration believes him to be guilty, and so he can't be trusted with is own private property (despite the fact that the law says Zimmerman must have his property returned to him . . . but then again, whenever does the Obama administration care about the law?).
To ensure white people know better than to fight back in the future, Attorney General Holder is spreading the word that not only should you dare not to fight back, but that you "have a duty to retreat."
Since there is no evidence that Zimmerman is guilty, or that he acted in a manner that proves him to be a racist, the Department of Justice, under orders by the Obama administration, is calling for anyone and everyone that thinks that at one time in his life Zimmerman may have acted or spoken in a racist manner, to snitch on him by reporting such activities, even if those words or actions are decades old (just ask Paula Deen), to the federal government.
This is all, of course, a normal mode of operation for the Obama administration. Turning citizens against citizens is easy. They even have in place a command for children to snitch on their parents. . . in Obama's eyes, parents having guns is child abuse.
That'll teach the opposition for daring to oppose the first black president.

Democrats Mistreat Watchdog in IRS Hearings
The government watchdog who issued the report that found the IRS was targeting conservative groups was turned into a punching bag by Democrats in the second half of a tense hearing Thursday, leading Inspector General J. Russell George to chide lawmakers for their attacks on his office.
“This is unprecedented,” he said of his treatment before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee at the end of the hearing.
The first half of the hearing was devoted to testimony from IRS officials who claimed higher-ups in Washington, D.C., were involved in applying additional scrutiny to Tea Party and other groups.
But the second half featured George and his associates, and ended up becoming a forum for Democratic lawmakers to accuse him of effectively ignoring potential signs that liberal groups may have been targeted as well. They pointed in part to IRS documents that suggest “progressive” groups may have been singled out.
George, though, said he didn’t see one of those packets until last week. He said he was “disturbed” it took so long for the IRS to produce the documents.
But George has also said all along that the evidence mostly pointed to conservative groups receiving the most scrutiny. He bristled at the tough questioning from Democrats which repeatedly second-guessed his office’s audit of the IRS’ practices.
“I have to admit, I am a little concerned that this type of forum could have a chilling effect on the operations of inspectors general,” George said, referring specifically to the second-guessing of how the audit was run.
He added: “We’ve never treated an IG office like this.”
This prompted a heated retort from the committee’s leading Democrat, Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., who raised his voice and was at times almost shaking as he vowed to uncover the “whole truth.” He claimed nobody was trying to attack the IG.
Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., chairman of the committee, said at the top of the hearing that the committee is open to examining any “credible” questions surrounding inspectors general, but as of now "stand solidly behind" their efforts.
Republicans also pointed out that while Democrats claim progressive groups may have been targeted, they have not come forward to complain about their treatment at the hands of the IRS like Tea Party groups have.
Earlier Thursday, a veteran IRS worker testified that officials from a Washington office led by a political appointee intervened in the screening of Tea Party applications, saying publicly for the first time the IRS chief counsel's office was involved in the controversial program.
Carter Hull, a recently retired tax law specialist, had earlier come under scrutiny after an employee in the Cincinnati IRS office told congressional investigators that he had been micro-managing her review of Tea Party groups' applications for tax-exempt status. But Hull revealed that he, too, was taking orders from up the chain of command.

Benghazi Victims Silenced, According to Representative Frank Wolf
Rep. Frank Wolf, R-Va., is calling on the Obama administration to explain why the survivors of last year's deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya, were reportedly asked to sign non-disclosure agreements that prevent them from talking about the attack.
In a letter to Secretary of State John Kerry, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel and CIA Director John Brennan, Wolf said his office has received reports that some survivors of the attack were asked to sign the confidentiality agreement as recently as this summer.
"If these reports are accurate, it would raise serious questions about additional restrictions the State Department has placed on those with knowledge of the Benghazi attacks," Wolf said in the letter. "I also worry about the impact of any [non-disclosure agreements] on congressional efforts to understand fully what happened that night and why the agency responded as it did."
Wolf requested names and contact information for any State Department employees or contractors who may have been asked to sign the documents.

Obama wins back the right to indefinitely detain under NDAA
The Obama administration has won the latest battle in their fight to indefinitely detain US citizens and foreigners suspected of being affiliated with terrorists under the National Defense Authorization Act of 2012.
Congress granted the president the authority to arrest and hold individuals accused of terrorism without due process under the NDAA, but Mr. Obama said in an accompanying signing statement that he will not abuse these privileges to keep American citizens imprisoned indefinitely. These assurances, however, were not enough to keep a group of journalists and human rights activists from filing a federal lawsuit last year, which contested the constitutionality of Section 1021, the particular provision that provides for such broad power.
A federal judge sided with the plaintiffs originally by granting an injunction against Section 1021, prompting the Obama administration to request an appeal last year. On Wednesday this week, an appeals court in New York ruled in favor of the government and once again allowed the White House to legally indefinitely detain persons that fit in the category of enemy combatants or merely provide them with support.
