Supreme Court Reminds us Trump Needs Four More Years

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

The most important legacy left behind by President Donald J. Trump will likely be his choices when it comes to the nomination of judges.  With the health of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg in question, it is likely that in the next four years her seat on the U.S. Supreme Court will become vacant.  With the court, thanks to a defection by John Roberts, and Justice Gorsuch's interesting twist of turns, judges who side with liberty and the Constitution may need one or two more allies.

In the DACA case, the ruling went against current law on the books.  In fact, Senator Ted Cruz hammered Justice John Roberts regarding his flawed judicial opinion.  In the case of gay rights, the concept regarding Natural Right which indicates a right cannot interfere with other rights has been totally ignored.

Juneteenth's Important Role in History

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

Juneteenth is a holiday celebrated by the black community.  While the spirit of the holiday commemorates the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation in 1863, which was the first step towards the final goal of abolishing slavery in America, all of the slaves in the United States did not really achieve freedom until two years later.  While only an executive order, and having no power of law, the Emancipation Proclamation declared slaves in union occupied regions as being free from slavery.  Slavery would be officially abolished in the United States with the ratification of the 13th Amendment December 6, 1865.  Two years after the Emancipation Proclamation, on June 19th, 1865, Federal Troops marched into Texas to inform them the war was over and that slavery had been abolished, giving June 19th as being the date that the last bastion of slavery was abolished, making the date important historically in regards to the end of slavery.

For the black community Juneteenth is a celebration, from a historical perspective.  While no society is ever perfect, or has ever completely rid itself of discrimination, in America blacks live better, richer, and more fulfilled than in any other country in the world.  Opportunity exists for all Americans, if only they are willing to pursue it.

American Lives Matter, no matter who you are.

Fuhrer Gavin Newsom orders statewide face coverings

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

California Governor Gavin Newsom has ordered that everyone, with a handful of exceptions, must wear a face covering in public or suffer the consequences.  Will there be a monetary fine for violators?  Jail time for those who refuse?  We haven't been told.  All we know is that we are being ordered by a power hungry politician that we have to wear a specific type of clothing, without legislative backing, without constitutional authority, and for a virus that, if you run the numbers honestly, is mild and has less of a chance of killing you than the chance of you being struck by lightning.

I have lived in Southern California my whole life.  I grew up in Los Angeles County until my teenage years.  Then, when it got to the point that the gangs were tapping on the door of my adolescence, my folks moved to the City of Corona on the edge of what is known as the Inland Empire.  Riverside County back then was considered "the sticks".  The inland area was considered rural when compared to its coastal neighbors.  It was, and is, less populated, and has always been much more conservative politically.

Back then California was truly the Golden State.  The policies of Republican leadership, such as that of Governor Ronald Reagan, had made California the place to be.  People had come to the western State for work, pleasure, and economic success.  My grandfather came to California in the 1940s, shortly after fighting in World War II, to be a farmhand.  He went from sharecropper, to carpet layer, to eventually owning his own carpet cleaning business.  Then, as I reached adulthood in the early eighties, the liberal left Democrats grabbed a hold of the Golden State, and since then they have run it into the ground with their heavy regulations against businesses, high taxes, destructive laws regarding our justice system, failed policies that have led to record homelessness, and authoritarian mandates that now have Californians fleeing the State in numbers as great as those coming here over fifty years ago.

California's hard left leadership continues to swim in their pool of power, and it is getting worse.  While Governor Gavin Newsom claims, “Science shows that face coverings and masks work,” science also shows that, according to the CDC, if you are under 50 the mortality rate for the COVID-19 coronavirus is 0.05%, and only slightly higher if you are older.  You have a better chance of dying if you get behind the wheel of your car.  More have died because of the lockdowns, which means the liberal left policies have caused more damage than good.  Cases of domestic violence has been on the rise during these "stay at home orders," as has instances of depression and suicide.  The symptomatic patients have all had underlying health conditions.  While everybody is freaking out that the number of cases of those positive with the Chinese Wuhan novel coronavirus may be higher of late, the truth is it has been high since the beginning.  Anti-body studies have shown that the number of cases has been massively higher than the estimates.  The thing is, based on my own calculations, at least more than 96% of cases are asymptomatic.  Herd immunity is a good thing, for it will make sure we all have the anti-bodies should this thing come back stronger, and it will shorten the life of the current scamdemic because the disease will quickly run out of people to infect.  Instead, Newsom's idiotic statewide mandate of everyone wearing masks in public keeps the virus around longer, has us breathing in our own CO2, and it hurts the economy because it keeps everyone nervous about public interaction.

But, that's the point, isn't it?  To keep us afraid?

There is nothing in the California State Constitution that allows Sacramento to quarantine the healthy, or require us to wear a particular piece of clothing.  What's next, comrade Newsom?  An armband with a democrat party symbol on it?  Or will you mandate yellow stars to be sewed to the clothing of anyone who disagrees with you?  And how will you enforce it if your various sheriffs say they won't enforce it?  Are you going to fire them all, and cut funding to cities who dare to defy your dictatorial orders?  And remember, the courts recently slapped down Oregon Governor Kate Brown's pandemic orders, stating that like you, she exceeded her authorities with them.  Are you, Gavin Newsom, ready for the lawsuits.  And better yet, are you ready for the defiance that will now happen.  Trust me, you don't have enough room in the jails for us all.

In the end, when it comes to all of this coronavirus stuff, the reality is simple.  They are lying to us for the sake of power.

Black Lives Matter: The New KKK

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

The Ku Klux Klan was the militant arm of the Democrat Party.  It was used to terrorize those who disagreed with the Democrat Party's radical agenda.  Members of the KKK targeted blacks and white Republicans, doing what they could to use fear and terror to silence the Democrat Party's opposition.  The hated Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, who the Democrats and the KKK despised, was reason enough for them, in their own minds, to target the voting booths, and use fraud to try to change the outcome of the next election.  To criticize the KKK was to place yourself in grave jeopardy, for they were merciless, and extremely violent in their attempt to influence the system, and to overthrow the constitutional amendments that were ratified during the Reconstruction Period, because they felt they gave blacks too many benefits and privileges.  As far as they were concerned, the death of their opposition would be a good start.

Black Lives Matter has become a modern militant arm of the Democrat Party.  BLM terrorizes those who disagree with the Democrat Party's radical agenda.  Members of the BLM target whites, and black Republicans, doing what they can to use fear and terror to silence the Democrat Party's opposition.  The hated Republican President, Donald J. Trump, who the democrats and BLM despise, seems to be reason enough for them to target the vote, such as the elimination of the Electoral College, and fraud to change the outcome of the next election.  To criticize BLM is to place yourself in grave jeopardy, for they are merciless, and extremely violent in their attempt to influence the system, and to overthrow the U.S. Constitution which they consider racist, and because they feel it gives whites too many benefits and privileges.  As far as they are concerned, the death of their opposition would be a good start.

Republicans called the KKK racist, but they denied such claims, calling their campaign righteous, and for the betterment of humanity.

Republicans call BLM racist, but they deny such claims, calling their campaign righteous and for the betterment of humanity.

The parallels between the KKK and Black Lives Matter is a long list.  BLM, and their Antifa allies, also carry many commonalities with the fascists and communists in their campaign of destruction, terror, and agitation.  The goal in the case of the KKK, the fascists and communists of the early 20th Century, and today's BLM and Antifa movements were, and are, the same.  To change the system away from the Constitution through terror and fear.

If the U.S. Government was true to the Constitution, which tasks the federal government with protecting the States from invasion (BLM may be domestic, but their ideology is a part of a foreign invasion of ideas), and domestic violence, according to Article IV., Section 4, BLM and Antifa would be categorized as terrorist organizations and the military would be used to stop this madness.

The problem is, that is what they want.  That is the point.  They are poking us in the chest, hoping for a reaction.  And the deadlier the reaction, the better.  They are searching for their Kent State moment, where bodies drop, and they can claim that the federal government is out of control and killing anyone showing dissent.

Unfortunately, some of the local jurisdictions are unwilling to stand up against the racist, terrorist BLM tactics, and in many cases, are siding with them and even encouraging and assisting them in their treasonous activities.

Governors and Mayors assisting and backing BLM should be arrested, just as any political officials supporting the KKK should have been.  If we don't take a firm stand against the new KKK, and we allow Black Lives Matter to continue their Marxist infiltration and agitation, and if we continue to kneel to their demands, our system of liberty is in grave danger, and we could be witnessing a turning point in history, where racists, in the name of quelling racism, have destroyed the only beacon of liberty on the Earth from within.

Generations Pass Away

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

The liberal left takes advantage of the younger generations because the kids don't have the life experience to easily realize the Democrats are pretty much full of crap.  Once a young person ages enough, they cease to be revolutionary, and become more conservative, largely because now that they have a family that depends upon them (one reason the left is working to destroy the family unit) and also because they have gotten old enough to likely know better.  There is an old saying from when I was a youngster.  "If you are under 30 and not a Democrat you have no heart, and if you are over 30 and not a Republican you have no brain."  Hopefully, this latest attempt to overthrow our U.S. Constitution will fail, and things will fall back into their normal cycles.

There is a natural desire to rebel against previous generations when you are younger.  I was privy to a conversation between a couple of thirty-somethings last night, overhearing them talk about a car that was in a junk yard.  The young man said the older folks had pretty much considered a Prius to be a lost cause because once the battery goes it is a minimum five thousand to fix it.  The young man said he surprised the older men when he got the car running for less than two hundred dollars.  The other young man said, "See, being older don't mean sh**."

It is a natural mentality to buck the older generations, and it isn't until you are a member of the older generation that you often realize how stupid you were when you were younger.  But, when you are young you don't want to hear some older person tell you that, and sometimes you respond angrily.

The liberal left Democrats know all of this, and they are taking advantage of that natural anger and the natural rebellion that bubbles in the guts of younger folks.  They stoke the fire, and stir the boiling pot, not because it is a righteous rebellion or anger, but because it serves their purposes in their journey to gain power.  In the end, the angry youths are nothing more than pawns, mindless tools in a larger game that they not only have no ability to understand, but deny exists in the first place.

It is an age old cycle.  Every younger generation thinks they know everything until they get older and realize that in the grand scheme of things, nobody knows jack, especially when you are younger.  This time, however, I am fearful, because I think the liberal left may have enough of them to spark their revolution, and the older generation has become complacent enough that they are unable to fight off the potential bondage that would go along with a fundamental transformation of America.  I hope I am wrong.  We'll see.

Ecclesiastes -- One generation passeth away, and another generation commeth; but the earth abideth forever ... The sun ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to the place where he arose ... The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirtleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits ... All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.

Black Lives Matter: A Modern Totalitarian Revolution

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

Classic totalitarian regimes share a number of common characteristics.  The rise of these regimes began with a cultural revolution, aimed at angering the citizens against the current system.  During that period domestic enemies are designated, and the people in the radical movement aiming at overthrowing the old system rally together against those common enemies, calling it a common struggle, as they adopt a new official ideology that stands significantly apart from the old one.  They seek to control every aspect of the lives of their people, enlisting everyone they can to participate in the struggle.  Even persons who may belong to enemy classes or groups join up, hoping to receive mercy when the new regime gains control.  In Stalin’s Russia and Mao’s China the enemies were anyone who reminded them of the old system, and anyone who could challenge them if left with enough power.  The state enemies were the capitalists, landlords, richer peasants and foreign agents of all kinds. Nazi Germany included those outside the national community, which included socialists (even though Nazism was a form of socialism) and communists, Jews, Christians, and any ethnic minorities that did not fit into the German model of a loyal elite specimen.

The goal of each of the totalitarian regimes of the past were to eliminate the old system, eradicate any history or remnant of the old regimes, and create a dominant single party that stood as a rebellious alternative of the traditional State.  Then, once in power, the perceived enemies were murdered or imprisoned, as were many of their allies for the crime of knowing too much.  The younger generation was used as a controlling mechanism, taught to tattle on their older counterparts for not being one hundred percent in favor of the new party in charge.  The youngsters were uniformed and organized into militias to turn their energies towards advancing the party line, and improving upon the power of the new political elite.

In each case anything that even resembled the free market was eliminated, and the new government controlled the economy.  They took over the means of production either by taking control of it and nationalizing it, or through heavy regulations (as we saw in Italy and Germany).  The immigration structure was altered, they orchestrated a break-down of morality and what were considered moral norms in their culture, they worked on the destruction of the nuclear family, they forcibly reallocated farmland, they formed a socialist economy that was designed to redistribute the wealth away from the designated domestic enemies into the hands of those revolutionaries who deserved some kind of reparations for what was allegedly lost at the hands of the domestic enemies, and early on looting and rioting was encouraged and championed.  Interestingly, the list I just gave you was not just something the NAZIs and communists did, but is also a list of demands currently being voiced by Black Lives Matter.

Public expression was also controlled by past dictatorial regimes so that no dissent could emerge.  If dissent was spotted, the party members acted as a mob, actively mobilized to quell the dissent in the name of the "people's struggle" against a constant list of enemies.  Again, Black Lives Matter fits the bill on this one, too.

These regimes exaggerated real problems, and real aspects of human nature, and created an on-going revolution against their enemies.  It was a common struggle to liberate the people from whomever the leadership designated as an enemy.  To not pull the party line was to be socially asleep, or an agent of the enemy, which then would place the person under great scrutiny, and if they remained uncorrected, they would be ridiculed, shamed, and eventually jailed, or murdered.

The fuel was passion, and anger, and a common demand for answers.

Sound familiar?

Black Lives Matter is an embodiment of everything that the 20th Century dictatorships were.  The designated enemies may be different, and some of the alleged struggles may go by slightly different names, but underneath it all, Black Lives Matter is no different than fascism, communism, and any other dictatorial regime one can think of.  And the bad part about it is that at this very moment the popularity of Black Lives Matter in the United States is greater, according to polls, than any political party, and any religious organization or sect.  The Brown Shirts, Black Shirts, and Bolsheviks are all rolled into one, and they are here to overthrow our U.S. Constitution.

Eventually, Black Lives Matter will lose its appeal, and the players will grow weary of the struggle.  The regime will weaken, and when they try to invigorate their revolutionaries for a new fight in order to strengthen the resolve of the regime and its followers, they will find that all of their enemies are dead or in exile, and the problem can no longer be blamed on others.  However, it could take half a century, or more, before that happens, and in a Black Lives Matter America the damage will already have been done.  The death of liberty and the annihilation of the free market will have left a long path of sorrow and misery following it.  By then, the enemy will only be themselves, and as all regimes in history, the struggle will turn inward, and the murders will be against their own.  Through the paranoia imaginary enemies will be concocted, where nobody is safe from the suspicions of one's neighbors or children.  People begin to vanish, and the party begins to struggle to hold on to control.

Black Lives Matter, like all past dictatorial regimes, have successfully unleashed the passions of many members of the public.  The campaigns of terror are in full swing, in the name of protesting, in the name of social justice, and in the name of standing against racism.  They claim that science and reason are in their corner, when, like Stalin and Mao of the Soviet Union and Communist China, it is all a great big lie.  They claim whites have unfair privilege and must be forced to kneel to their true overlords, as Hitler did with the Jews when he believed it would allow him to create a better Germany.  In the end, as with all violent totalitarian regimes, violence will bring them down just as violence brought them into power.

As Islamic totalitarianism solidifies in the Middle East, and works to spread across the nations of Europe, Black Lives Matter totalitarianism is working its way through its birthing canal in the United States.  Both bear all of the markers of totalitarianism.  They work to control the lives, speech, and actions of those below them.  They terrorize and murder, committing themselves to endless struggles against a long list of designated enemies.  They pose as more than an ideological challenge.  They are poised to bring down Western Civilization, which has prospered due to America's Liberty, and free market capitalistic system.

Should we fall, to where may one escape?  There is no other place to go.  Black Lives Matter is a real threat, an enemy who desires to overthrow America and control this country.  There is no criticizing Black Lives Matter.  The mobs threaten anyone who holds dissent.  It is already happening.  People are losing their jobs for criticizing Black Lives Matter, and they are still only a political movement.  Black Lives Matter is enjoying complete immunity from criticism while they are not in power.  Imagine what will happen if they ever gain a hold on the reins of our system.

It has gone beyond a demand for equality.  Equality is no longer acceptable.  If one were to say "All Lives Matter," for example, that is now unacceptable, and racist.  Only "Black Lives Matter" we are told.  White lives don't matter because of what your ancestors allegedly did a couple hundred years ago.  Christianity and the American System is based on the idea of equality in the eyes of God, and equality in opportunity (or at least the attempt to create a system that accomplishes such), but now if you say that out loud, you are called a racist, and your very life could be at risk.  Dissent is hate speech.  You could be fired from your job, or in some cases, fined and jailed for daring to speak out against the rising totalitarian regime known as Black Lives Matter because such murmurings could be considered "hate speech".

The latest demand by Black Lives Matter is ridiculous, yet it is happening.  It began with a chant, "defund the police," and now has advanced to cries to abolish the police.  The City of Minneapolis is in the process of doing exactly that.  When asked on CNN who, then, if the police were gone, should we call in the middle of the night while our house is being burglarized, a member of the Minneapolis city council said that the question "comes from a place of privilege."  In other words, if some feel like law enforcement is not on their side, everyone should feel that way, otherwise, you have an unfair privilege, and you are racist.

Black Lives Matter is enjoying a rise to power largely because of the liberal media.  Any counter-arguments against their claims are going unheard.  CNN, MSNBC, NPR, the alphabet networks, and any of the other liberal outlets aren't going to report any criticism of Black Lives Matter.  And as Hitler's team explained, if you tell a lie often enough, it becomes the truth.  In this case, if you tell one side of the story, and the other side is never heard, it becomes true.

Unchallenged claims must be true, therefore, Black Lives Matter must be on to something.  The polls say so.

Black Lives Matter is achieving their power in the same way past revolutionaries did.  Through force.  They break things, they burn things, and they hurt anyone who gets in the way.  They believe they deserve whatever they want, and if you don't give it to them, they will take it.  Then, on the way out, they will set your business on fire.  They occupy, they terrorize, and nobody is willing to stop them, because if you do, you are a racist.  They know this.  They know you are paralyzed by your fear of them, and fear of being considered racist.  They have a message. Step out of line and we will hurt you, your family, or your business.  That is the strategy of Black Lives Matter, and it is becoming the strategy of the Democrat Party.  If you are afraid to defy the mob, the mob rules.

The Framers of the U.S. Constitution created this system to protect us from the mob.  That is why they created a constitutional republic, not a democracy (as some people like to say).  Democracy is historically a transitional type of government.  When the mobs of democracy begin to take control, which usually accompanies a continuous vote for benefits from the treasury, liberty breaks down and dictators begin to take control.

If we allow the Black Lives Matter movement to become America's Bolshevik Revolution, we will lose our liberty, and many of us will likely lose our lives, as well, for daring to question them.  This was never about racism.  It has been about power and control since the very beginning.  Black Lives Matter seeks to overthrow the U.S. Constitution, and replace our system with a Marxist-based government that destroys liberty and the free market, and places their radical leaders in control of the country.  If we don't stop it, and recognize the revolutionary nature of what is going on, America will disappear forever.  And, if there is no America, Liberty dies worldwide.

Email of the Week: Seattle Police Officer about CHOP/CHAZ

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host
From a Seattle police officer last night:
"Hey guys, I have a little down time so here is an update on things here. Absolute madness here. Can't even express it all. Day 12 for us and our Mayor and chief abandoned a major precinct and gave it to the anarchists. Unthinkable. 9 blocks of our city under the complete control of these terrorists. No joke. This is unreal. No police, no fire dept, no sanity allowed in. They have an armed force patrolling, manning checkpoints and stopping cars and citizens at gun point. They are creating a currency, an ID system, a supply system that includes food, water, ammo and chemical weapons. They have access to the precinct and have made it their hq. Our "leaders" are completely silent and the city council is completely complicit. Yes, they have been on the front lines WITH the anarchists and yes, last night one council member let about 200 into city hall. The warlord in charge of the new "capitol hill autonomous zone" (CHAZ) drives a tesla and has been arrested for drugs, guns, pimping and crimes against children and is on a federal child porn watch list. He carries an AK-47 and has already started abusing people inside. WTF? You can't make this up. We have been castrated. There is no recovering from this. We can't go near the zone and have been warned by our dept to stay away. We are only working for each other now. We have been in battles where these psychopaths have hit us with rocks, cinderblocks, homemade napalm, and even IEDs. Multiple injuries and THEN we gave up the precinct. Now the guns are out. This city can burn. I'm working on my exit plan now. The city and state hates us and gives us no support, in fact the leaders are actively supporting this very real insurgency. Yet, all you hear in the media is that they are merely peaceful protesters. This is real. There is a part of our country that is no longer under our control. People need to know. This is not about race. It's about control. Share it, but DON'T say my name."

Trump's Sensical Executive Order Regarding Police

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

I suppose we could debate whether or not the federal government has any constitutional authority to involve itself in any way, shape, or form with local police.  One could say that there are no express authorities in the U.S. Constitution giving the United States Federal Government the okay to pass laws regarding independent, and therefore autonomous, State and municipal law enforcement agencies.  And, that is a legitimate argument.  There are no expressly enumerated authorities allowing federal interference with local jurisdictions for pretty much anything.  One could then dance on a line that Alexander Hamilton would be proud of and say that while there exists no express authority, the clause in Article IV., Section 4 that says the United States "shall" protect the States from domestic violence implies that the federal government, first legislatively, and if necessary, by executive order should the Congress have difficulty convening, may inject itself into the affairs of policing if it is directly related to their express power of protecting the States from domestic violence.  Then, we can run over to Article I, Section 8 and ask ourselves if any federal intrusion upon local police departments is "necessary and proper," and again, if it is necessary to protect the States from domestic violence, a reasonable person could conclude with an affirmative.

President Trump, in his Executive Order, refers to the Preamble's reference to establishing justice, and I am sure the phrase about domestic tranquility came to mind with his team, as well.

Congress, in the light of the George Floyd killing, and the subsequent violence, which includes Marxist funded agitation in the most creative Saul Alinsky manner, has promised legislation to help with our apparent emergence of a problem with police brutality, and any physical actions in and around the neck region. However, with the hard left loony Democrats controlling the House of Representatives, and Republicans who refuse to be complicit in the liberal progressive madness holding on to the helm in the U.S. Senate, any hope for a bill anytime soon would be a pipe dream.  So, while physically they have convened, mentally they are all, for all manners of speaking, out to lunch.

President Donald J. Trump, not being a patient man in certain circumstances, decided that time was not a friend when it comes to the countrywide rioting and the creation of autonomous zones amidst cries of defunding the police, and even abolishing the police.

Without Law and Order there is no freedom.

President Trump has shown time and time again that he is a "law and order" president, so this whole thing has been surely weighing heavily on his mind.  So, he beat Congress to the punch, and came up with an executive order that is designed to tackle the problem, or at least begin the process of tackling it.

Trump's Executive Order is called the Safe Policing for Safe Communities order, and one of the things I first noticed was not what is in it, but what isn't.  Unlike the Democrats, this is offered to the States, counties, and cities as a recommendation, a strongly urged one, but a recommendation, which means that there is no threat to withhold federal funding if the common sense guidelines in the executive order are not met.  Federal incentives, however, are offered, should jurisdictions decide to follow the suggestions outlined in the executive order, which includes training for police officers, a ban on "choke holds" (note, that may not necessarily include neck restraints), and other "best practices" that he deems necessary after conferring with a panel of law enforcement officials.  However, while there is no threat of a loss of federal funding should a jurisdiction refuse to conform, if a policing agency refuses to follow the President's guidelines for reform, they will not receive grants in the order for that purpose.

One brilliant part of the executive order also includes setting up a system through the federal government that has all policing agencies in touch with each other so as to end the racism, and ensure bad cops don't wander from department to department without being noticed he's doing so.  This puts agencies in liberal cities refusing to cooperate with federal agencies over the illegal alien problem in a pickle.  They can continue to refuse to cooperate, and communicate with agencies like ICE, but now if they continue to do so, considering the cooperation is now in the name of George Floyd's murder, and trying to stamp out the allegation of systemic racism, refusing to cooperate and communicate with federal agencies could be seen as being, well, racist.

After reading the order, and viewing the president's press conference regarding it, I realized that while the Democrats were listening to the rioters, and their radical allies, President Trump had gone to the source.  He had gone to law enforcement leadership and asked, "How can we make this better.  How can we fix the problem."  He listened, they talked, and this executive order is the result.

Seattle Autonomous Zone Misses the Point about Freedom

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

The abolish the police movement is the same as the liberal left's claim that "anything goes" is freedom.  Freedom is only freedom when it has a positive impact on a society, and it doesn't interfere with other people's freedoms.  Freedom is also following the rule of law, while still having the independent individuality to pursue your own path.  In other words, right is right, and wrong is wrong.  I have the freedom to swing my arms, but the moment it begins hitting people in the face, I no longer should be free to swing my arms unless I position myself in such a way that it is not interfering with other people's rights such as the right not to be struck in the face.  That is simply the right thing to do.

Due to Marxist revolutionary influences, that has been lost in the conversation.  The liberal left says that freedom means doing what you want, when you want, because you want to.  But, if you are doing anything you want, someone is suffering from the consequences of those actions.  Therefore, it is not really freedom.

I get it.  Sometimes we see police misconduct.  Some police officers are power-trippers.  And the rioters and people behind the Seattle autonomous zone act as if that means all police are the problem.  They don't recognize the grieving families of the police officer killed in the line of duty doing his job.  They don't recognize the phone calls family members get when they find out their police officer loved one has been killed in the line of duty.

When it comes to the autonomous zone the questions pile up even hire.  Do they believe that businesses will continue to wish to operate in their zones of anarchy?  What happens when they run out of things to loot?  If there are no law enforcement, who will be truly setting up the rules in that zone?  Chances are, the local thugs and gangs.  Is that freedom?  Is a Mad Max kind of world where people must bow to the local thugs because law and order has been abandoned truly what they want?  Is that really freedom?

With law enforcement in place, we have the freedom to pursue other things, to go to work, and not worry about our home being robbed.  Without law enforcement, the freedom to go to work goes out the window, because to protect our belongings we have to sit on the porch with our gun in our lap to protect what belongings we have.  The freedom to work, and earn money, and add to those belongings is then sacrificed.

Law and order is essential.  Without law and order, there is no freedom.

To surrender our cities to the liberal left revolutionaries is a loss of liberty, a loss of freedom, and a loss of our American System forever.

I get it.  I lived in the big city as a kid.  Gun shots rang out at night.  Living in tough neighborhoods is no fun.  But, that doesn't make it the police's fault.  We control our own environments.  Without law and order, we lose control to the thugs, to the gangs, and to those who wish to increase the brutality of their iron fist rule over everyone else.

Seeking change through violence is not the way to do it.  Vigilante justice is not the answer.  Law and order is what separates us from the animals, and separates us from the communist revolutionaries who, in the end, actually want the government enforcement officers to be more in your life, not less as they claim.

Interestingly enough, the people behind the Seattle Autonomous Zone are people who hate Trump's idea for a border wall, yet they've built their own wall around their zone.  They are the people who claimed Trump was a fascist, yet their Black Shirt tactics are in line with what the NAZIs did in Germany, when they terrorized the public until the dictator named Hitler finally took power.

Cops are willing to put their lives on the line for people they don't even know.  They don't deserve this treatment, and your freedom needs them in place so that you can have law and order, consequences for law-breakers, and the opportunity to truly be free to do the things you wish to do, rather than have to sit at home with a gun on your lap to protect your belongings from a bunch of idiot thugs.

Congress Proposing Defunding Police Unconstitutional

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

Democrats in the United States Congress, for the votes and power, have decided they will side with the radicals and have offered legislation that would put the federal government behind the movement to abolish the police.  The problem is, there is no constitutional authority for that.  But, that's the point, right?  If they want no law and order, what do they care if they are violating the supreme law of the land, the U.S. Constitution?

The Democrats have made this mess with that attitude.  They are constantly operating outside the Constitution, and outside the rule of law, so eventually a complete loss of law and order would be on the docket.  They have fostered this, however, not by accident.

Do not be fooled.  The Democrats are the party of chaos because they are, while nobody wants to admit it out loud for fear of you realizing the truth, the party is moving us towards communism, and has been since the beginning.  Andrew Jackson, the father of the Democrat Party, was a strong proponent of making us a democracy, rather than remaining a republic.  And, as Karl Marx said, democracy is the road to socialism.  Democracy is the tyranny of the majority, and a transitional system that is destined to move America into a communist system if we continue to allow it to.  This is simply their way of committing us to a Bolshevik-style revolution that is fully intended to destroy liberty, destroy the constitution, and as Obama put it, fundamentally transform America.

The answer?  Become a republic again, as the Constitution originally intended.  Anything less is a path towards destruction through collective, communist policies.

Black Lives Matter Abolish Police Movement Will End Black Communities

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

Even the New York Times has jumped on the "Abolish the Police" bandwagon.  And understand they don't mean to replace it with some kind of police department hybrid, they literally mean to abolish the police and replace them with community controlled systems that will basically revert neighborhoods into feudal style systems where warlords and gangs will run the area.  Without police we abandon the rule of law, and drop into a Mad Max scenario of a rule of madmen.

With police in place, the largest problem the black community has is black on black killings.  When it comes to the police, law enforcement kills more whites each year than blacks, and while some will then begin arguing blacks are killed more based on percentage of population, you have to also take into account that the vast majority of crimes are committed by blacks, as well.  If one group commits most of the crimes, and then celebrates it in their culture with a claim of being a thug culture, what did you think would happen?

The way to end the problems the black community is having is to change the black culture in America.  The problem isn't the American System, the problem is that the black community refuses to abide by the parameters in place (understand, I don't mean all persons in that community, of course the vast majority of them are sickened by what they are seeing).  And the reason the culture is so out of whack is because of liberal policies that have destroyed the family, and had moved the slave plantation from Southern Slave Owners to the Democrat Party's policies that has left the black community addicted to government dependency, and they are unwilling to pull the government needle out of their arms.

Not only would abolishing the police not fix the problem, it would make it worse.  What do you think will happen if police forces are dismantled?  Everyone will just get along, dancing in the daisies, holding each other's hands?  If there is violence with law enforcement, what do you think will happen without it?

Poorer neighborhoods will descend into chaos, with the most brutal personalities controlling everything, and the richer neighborhoods will hire private security, build walls, and keep themselves away from the chaos.  In the end the segregation of society would worsen, and the communities most in the need of law enforcement will descend into anarchy, and eventually destroy themselves.  Is that really how people wish to live?

In the end, these people are all sheep.  Communism seeks to destroy morality and the law because they claim the old morality and the old law doesn't apply to revolutionaries.  The idea is to destroy the old system so that a new system can replace it.  But, historically, every time a new system has arisen, the same thing happens.  Chaos, violence, death, starvation, and the end of liberty.

And the people who will suffer the most are those who live in what would become war-zones where nothing would stand in the way of complete chaos.

Muslim no-go zones in Europe have no police presence.  Tell me, how's that working out for them?

How the Founding Fathers Handled Disease Epidemics

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host
Thank you to The Good Patriot for doing much of the research.

How the Founding Fathers handled the Small Pox epidemic of 1775

First, understand, Small Pox was much more deadlier than COVID-19 and medicine was not as advanced.  The mortality rate of small pox was about 10%, while the mortality rate of the novel coronavirus, thanks to anti-body studies revealing that there are many more cases than we thought (but they were asymptomatic), is around 0.02%.

a) Small Pox was new to the colonists, but had been in Europe for a longer period, so the level of immunity in British Troops was better than that of the American militias.  Therefore, for those entering the fight of the Revolutionary War, inoculation and a two week period of isolation to ensure the weakened version of the disease was not being spread, was required of new recruits, during which time they used the time to train and prepare for entering the theater of war.

b) A vaccine was available, but aside from the military recruits, it was completely voluntary for members of the public.  The inoculation was a weakened version of the disease, and did not contain unnatural ingredients like today's vaccines.

c) The sick was quarantined, and in some cases forbidden to leave their houses.  Healthy individuals, however, were not quarantined, and aside from a few travel restrictions, went about their normal business.

d) All places of businesses remained open unless the proprietors had small pox and were not capable of conducting business due to being ill.

e) There was not a gradual reopening of the country or a new normal.  Once the disease was gone, life returned to the same style it was prior to the arrival of the epidemic.

f) There was no political agenda or narrative present.  Only the health of the citizens were a consideration.

g) Nobody was fined or jailed for disobeying mandates or quarantine policies.

Use your Consumerism as a Tool for Change

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

The political left has been working on changing America through emotions.  They want you afraid for your planet, so they concocted man-made climate change.  They want you angry so they impeached the president.  They want you paranoid about your health, so they exploited a minor coronavirus into a worldwide pandemic.  They want you looking over your shoulder so they resorted to violence in the name of social justice after the death of George Floyd.

I refuse to be a sheep, so I look at the numbers.  Climate change is a naturally occurring phenomenon, so I am not afraid.  I listen to what President Trump actually says, rather than the liberal left's false interpretations, so I do not wish to have him removed from office.  I used science to figure out that the strategies being recommended regarding the coronavirus were bad strategies, and math to realize that they have been lying to us about the numbers, so I don't wear a face mask, and I don't act paranoid about social distancing.  I recognize that the rioting, like Antifa and Black Lives Matter, has nothing to do with racism and everything to do with ushering in a socialist revolution in America.

I am also vocal, and believe that the way to stop the socialist revolution is to not give money to those who support it.

That's why I no longer have a COSTCO card.  They escort people out of their stores who are not wearing a mask.

Today I went to a Shoe City store to look into buying myself a pair of Vans shoes.  Once inside, the store clerk, who, I understand, is simply following orders, said to me I had to wear a mask to be in the store.  A sign said so on the door, which I saw, but ignored.

"Sorry," I said.  "I am not a sheep, so I don't wear a mask.  No worries.  I will take my business elsewhere.  You do know, by the way, that even the CDC is now admitting they screwed up on their numbers and strategy recommendations, right?"

And then, I walked out of the store.

I then went to a Shell Station mini-mart to get a drink at the soda dispenser and right in front of me was a Black Lives Matter t-shirt.  "You know," I said, "the fist on that shirt is a communist fist.  Makes sense, the money being fed into Black Lives Matter is communist money."  Then I turned to his co-worker.  "Tell your boss his shirt lost you guys a customer."  Then, I walked out.

My wife was bothered by it. I explained to her that my principles were more important than the item I was going to buy at those stores, and to be honest, I can find those products elsewhere.  In my opinion, shopping at stores who are enforcing the draconian face mask rule, or allows open support of subversive groups determined to overthrow our U.S. Constitution, would be no different than giving my business to a store that supported NAZI Germany during World War II.  I can't do it.  And, if enough people did the same, those businesses would go out of business, leaving for us only those who are not traitors to the country.

Have you walked out of a store in protest, lately?  Voting with your dollar is a powerful method of sending a message.

The Silence is Deafening

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

Everything has been on hold.  We live in interesting times.  As a result, my life has gotten more interesting, too.

A text from a friend of mine who participates in the Constitution Classes and the Constitution Association read, "The Silence is Deafening."

Yes, it is.

Some folks think I have vanished, but in reality, there are a number of interesting things going on.

My focus during that last few months has been on my son's new life as a Christian, and some family politics that has gone along with it, my radio program, which is on the verge of expanding if we can just muster up the funding, Political Pistachio, and my wife's father who is in the final phase of Alzheimer's Disease.

The Constitution Classes should resume soon.  I was hoping they would be in full swing, by now.  In fact, one person emailed me saying he was astonished I was not having the classes.  "If anyone would be in defiance of the stupid stay at home order," he wrote, "I figured it would be you."

While the classes belong to me, the venues don't.  Out of respect to those who own, or are in charge, of the venues I use, I wanted to make sure the venues were ready for the classes to return.  After all, there are an awful lot of people, even on the conservative side, that either believe the coronavirus scamdemic propaganda, or they are fearful of disobeying the health department for fear of either being shut down, they are worried about being targeted by protesters, or they are not wanting bad publicity for disobeying the ban on group gatherings.  While I may think the whole coronavirus thing is a scam, not everybody does, and I have not wished to act in a manner outside what the venue managers want when it comes to their facilities.

The classes are normally on Tuesday Night in Corona, and Wednesday Night in Temecula.

Regarding the Wednesday Temecula Class, recently, the Chairman of the Riverside County Republican Party, Jonathan Ingram, gave me the okay to resume meetings and classes at the facility on Jefferson in Temecula and I expected to roll that out this week or next week.  An emergency trip to Oregon will delay that to likely three Wednesdays from now.  I will keep you posted.

I texted the owner of AllStar Collision, where the Corona Class meets, and did not get a response.  I have not had a chance to call him directly, yet.  I am guessing we will be fine getting our Constitution Class going again at that location, but out of respect of the ownership, I just wanted to make sure with him.  Expect that class to get going again in a couple weeks.

There will be a one or two week interruption in either late July or early August due to another trip I will have to make to Oregon, as well.  I will keep you posted.

Constitution Association events should get started again, but due to a bunch of problems associated with the coronavirus (which has resulted in some speakers not being willing to meet groups, etc.) we may need to cancel this year's annual event.  I may not have to if a couple things I am looking into come to fruition.  I will advise you once I know what I am up against.  There is also a funding deficit involved, and unless some kind of revenue comes in for the Constitution Association soon, we may not be able to afford it, anyway.

I have had an interesting host of health issues come and go, and return, over this period, and in September I am going to begin a series of appointments with Veteran's Administration neurology.  To be honest, sometimes it is difficult for me to do certain things, and I may need to draw back on how much I do. I was definitely overextended prior to all of this madness, and now that I've been out of motion for a while, getting the engines revved back up may be more difficult than I thought.

I have also been preoccupied with the health of my father-in-law, as I stated earlier.  He is an important person in my life, and he is now in the final phase of Alzheimer's Disease.  Prayers are definitely needed as this good man descends into a very difficult final few months of his life.  Unfortunately, there are also family politics involved that have made it difficult, and due to my experience in certain aspects of the situation, I have been tagged to carry a little bit of responsibility regarding the matter that has also filled up a major amount of my time.

I hope this gives you at least a little bit of an update, and while vague, an idea that getting back to normal, or at least close to it, is right around the corner.  Thanks for the phone calls, text messages, and emails.  I have largely not responded to many of your inquiries because of the fact that there are so many, and I have been in a situation that has made it difficult to do so, anyway. For example, yesterday I experienced a balance situation that had me bed-ridden the entire day.

God Bless, and I am looking forward to working with all of you to restart the engines of our efforts to restore the republic, and resurrect our U.S. Constitution.

See you soon.

Rioting and Looting, we know it's not just about free stuff

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

Rioting and looting is not just a case of civil unrest.  It is a propaganda technique.  Propaganda is usually not noticed by the average citizen.  It has been an effective tool in shaping public opinion and action since the beginning of time.  It is a way to herd a portion of a society's population in the direction one would want.  Often, it only needs a few participants, and usually those participants don't even realize the extent of how they are being used.  Propaganda turns lies into truth, misinformation into trusted facts, inflammatory language into a common part of the lexicon, and utilizes deception to shape public perception.  There is always a political agenda behind propaganda, and the more deceptive the schemes, the more likely it is a move towards an authoritarian system of collectivism.  Regardless of how the propaganda is deployed, it means to manipulate members of the population to act in a manner the puppeteers desire.  Then, even the actions encouraged by the propaganda, such as rioting and looting, becomes a part of the propaganda as well.  People watching the destruction are influenced by it, propagandized by the message behind it, and will even often be encouraged by what they see to participate in it.

Humans are a creature that likes to huddle in groups, and follow the herd.  Therefore, peer pressure is a large part of the strategy of propaganda.  With the right techniques, a propagandist can even get people to destroy their own neighborhoods, and burn down their own places of employment, because that kind of propaganda is a powerful force in society, and can spread like wildfire if the topic is toxic enough.  Once the members of a group are convinced of something, and they begin to think, speak or act in the manner the propagandists want them to, a bandwagon effect takes place as the public follows the path laid out for them by the puppeteers.  Sometimes, even people outside those groups join in, if not in the destruction that comes with rioting and looting, but at least in giving them their support, or even subservience.  They are willing to do so even if it goes against their best interests, because they have been taught to perceive it to be correct behavior.

Following radical or revolutionary orders has a certain arrogance that goes along with it, as well.  There is a certain appeal to be different from the main fray, to be above them in social consciousness.  It is as if some people have an aspiration to replace society’s high class with their own "woke" class.  The propagandists know of this human desire to place oneself on a pedestal, so they use snob appeal as a selling technique. They convince the public to believe and behave in ways that are agreeable to what they think is an elite way of thinking, a path largely supported by the indoctrination the human-tools received when they came up in the public school system, or what they've been told through entertainment and various news outlets.

The truth must never actually be spelled out, because if the subjects knew what they were really supporting, they would likely be revolted by it.  So, the propagandists tell them only the amount of truth they need to hear, and in such a vague way that they get the idea without the details.  Certain language is used that is meant to entice, even though the words really don't offer a true definition or any real commitment to any meaning.  By offering generalities the subjects can be provoked to expend their energy on their interpretation rather than truly knowing what they are really rallying behind.

The propagandists also use loaded words.  Words mean something, and there is an extraordinary power behind language when it is used as a weapon.  Swaying public opinion may be as easy as simply using excessively powerful words with agreeable associations to convince the public to act in a certain manner.  With the proper words the public may be inspired to feel fear, anger, or doubt. A simple and effective means of loaded words usage is the act of name-calling, which many political groups have used to disparage opposition, quell dissent. and scapegoat groups of people.

Often, the situation or the people involved don't have to actually be a part of the subject that encouraged the rallying cry.  For example, in the case of George Floyd, while nobody disputes the egregious nature of his death, the reality is that Floyd had a prior beef with Officer Chauvin.  The knee to the neck that resulted in Floyd's death was a personal matter between the two, and had nothing to do with racism.  But, "racism" is the powerful word that the propagandists knew would get the rioters into the streets, so that was the accusation ... despite it actually having nothing to do with the situation other than the fact that the cop was white, and the suspect was black.

In the end, the whole thing is more about propaganda than it is about racism, or any other social justice warrior concern.  The lemmings out there are tools being led by the nose, so while the rioters claim there is systemic racism in our republican form of government, the reality is they are nothing but slaves to the demands of the propagandists who don't represent our Constitution, but are instead instruments of a force that is geared towards tyranny.

Chris Palmer Reminds us of Liberal Left Democrat Hypocrisy

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

The Democrats have a history of hypocrisy.

I remember many years ago reading about a city council member in San Francisco successfully proposing and enacting a city ordinance that basically said that all public easements were open to the homeless.  This meant that the homeless could sleep on any sidewalk since it was technically not owned by any private entity.  A conservative activist decided to see how serious the city council member was about his bleeding heart law.  The activist dressed up as a homeless person, and pitched a tent on the sidewalk right in front of the posh home of the city council member.  In response, the liberal Democrat called the police to have the person removed from in front of his house.

When Congress passed Obamacare during Barack Obama's presidency, while they believed it was appropriate to commit the American population to the government controlled move towards socialized medicine that may eventually destroy the private insurance and medical industry, the members of Congress added a provision to the law that made them exempt from it.

Now, during the George Floyd riots, sports journalist Chris Palmer reminded us once again of the liberal left's world of hypocrisy where the attitude is "what is good for thee is not good for me."  On Twitter Palmer captioned a burning building, which was an under-construction apartment complex for very low income tenants, writing, "Burn that sh** down.  Burn it all down."  Three nights later his gated community was under attack by rioters, and after it was over he Tweeted, "Welp. They're gone. Security called the cops and they swarmed. Some scattered, others were arrested. (You hate to see it.) Tense moments. There's graffiti everywhere. We live in a beautiful, safe community and have pride. These people had no pride and weren't protesters."

Later on, after receiving criticism for his change of tune when it came to his own neighborhood, he responded, "I did not know it was low income housing for many. That was my mistake. I do not endorse property destruction of any kind. Real protestors don’t loot. Peaceful protest is the only way. Be safe. God Bless."

I believe his backtrack was simply because it was "affordable housing", and he endorses in his mind the destruction of private property, especially the kind that belongs to business owners and persons of significant wealth, a.k.a. bourgeois.

Be not fooled.  This is a movement towards radical revolution.  This is a violent coup that hopes to collectivize this country into a socialist consciousness.  The hive-mind attitude of the rioters that screams "What one has all must have, I'm gonna take it" is a not an attitude of free enterprise, individuality, and liberty, but of communist ambitions.

The puppets of the liberal left, like the mainstream media, denies that the truth is what it is.  They know that you can't stop the mob if you deny it exists.  While some believe that peace will only happen once there is nothing left to steal, and nothing left to burn, I disagree.  The seeds of communist revolution have been planted.

The mob wants you to believe this is all about social justice, and that their anger is because in America there is some kind of systemic problem of racism.  No law condones racism, and while racists surely exist in this country, they are of such a small minority that they not only do not matter in the grand scheme of things, but also I believe most of them are so afraid of discovery that they hide their true feelings both verbally, and through their actions.

If there is a problem with racism, I also believe it stems not from where the radicals say it is, but within them.  Their decisions are based on race, and their hate for what they consider to be "white privilege," and a culture that is populated by the descendants of the Europeans who created and maintained colonialism and a slave culture.

Nobody in America owns a slave, and no American is a slave.  Slavery exists in the third world, but not here.  This isn't a race problem.  We don't have out of control racism in this country.  We have a class of radicals who want you to be frightened, and nervous, and ready to call for order through their kind of collectivist governmental system.  They used impeachment, the coronavirus scamdemic, the riots, the man-made climate change hoax, and anything else they can to make you paranoid so that you not only desire change, you demand it.  What we have is an invasion, an invading ideology that is determined to fundamentally change our American System.  The hypocrisy is only a symptom.  The accusations of racism, the demand to save the planet through government control of energy, and the authoritarian rules we so quickly chased after as lemmings when the coronavirus scamdemic emerged are only symptoms.  We are at war.  An ideological war.  A spiritual war.  A war to preserve liberty and restore the Constitution.  No, this is not some kind of racism problem.  This is an American problem.  We are at war for our liberty.
